During the Cold War, the Western Allies like to ignore most of what the Soviets did during the war. Though I sometimes wonder just how much about what happened on the Eastern Front the general population in the West actually could find out about normally before the Soviet Union fell in the 1990s.

Eisenhower's background was training and logistics, but his great strength was in how he was able to manage and leverage his combat generals, and keep everybody pulling together.

It's a Super TOG II* that launches tanks from its tracks, packs an accurate, fast firing 17m cannon and carries a frikkin school on its back.

Nah, this is par for the course for sports anime everywhere. There is a reason for example, every sports anime staring males always have an army of Yaoi fangirls, even if they are not officially gay.

It's just the way it is with the portrayal of mono-gender sports.
