They are indeed the official designs!
If Monster paperback follows it's routine of 1.5 month wait time for digital editions, Yuusha Party LN should be for sale tomorrow or next Tuesday *^* /stalks her digital distributor

I own the Physical book, the pictures are beautiful, can't wait to share =D
(I think I will have to amend an earlier chapter, because Youki has only 1 horn, not two |D /rants about Japanese and their lack of plurals)

For some reason I always imagined that the hero-party looked like the one in Dragon Quest. Can't really fit these "official" imagines in my head, so I'll keep my current image of them^^

Haha, good ol' denial. "I reject your reality & substitute my own!"

But yeah, Raven's design always clashed with my image of him. But now I think it kinda' "fits" because it makes it more awkward with his complex that clashes with his looks.

People who are "plain" and people who are "cute/pretty/beautiful/handsome"
are almost always indistinguishable in manga anyway.
Same as how boys are drawn with faces that could easily be girls if you changed the hair and clothes even though males in real life that could actually pass themselves off as convincing girls (as opposed to looking like men in drag) even with heavy makeup would have to be few and far between.

tons of manga artists can only draw a handful of distinct faces anyway.
Look at Tite Kubo's characters in bleach. There are tons of characters that look alike. (Especially in the Vandenreich arc, there's a guy who looks like Ikkaku Madarame with a Mohawk stuck to his bald head.)
