Miku was just annoying as hell, and that whole nyaa thing just doesn't work. It's just too much Otaku pandering here. I really hope they don't over do it with this nyaa crap again.
The trio so far are an excellent set of characters so far. I really hope Ranko distance herself from the rest of the group since most of them are just plain stupid and annoying |

Miku-nyaa is a histrionic try-hard, and it is right there in her character history. And if you listen to her drama cd and played the game, you'd can't help but understand why. (And if you know epidemiology... you'd also realize how common it is amongst idol types LOL)
She will get better though. Hopefully with the next SR release. After all, Anzu's VA whinged about it on stage and now 6 months after, everyone's got another (shitty) SR+ in the bank thanks to anniversary lulz. Don't get me wrong, I don't like Miku-nyaa. But I just can't bring myself to hate her. |

I guess my problem with Miku's bit was that, while a bunch of people compare it to Miki's situation with Ryugu Komachi, at the same time, they're quite different, so having it end on a very similar "happy end" note didn't really feel right.
Primarily the fact that 765 was a struggling production studio at the time while 346 is a big and successful production agency that has already put out a bunch of well-known idols in various areas, and Miku's actions were a big distraction and problem for a lot of people there, not just the main characters and, not to hate Miku personally or anything, but I have a feeling that 346, realistically, could probably afford to lose and replace her whereas 765 needed everyone they could get and couldn't afford to lose Miki. 346 just "can't" lose Miku because she's one of the main characters.

I'd flip the table around and say "Producer has accounted for, and needed, Miku for his plans and therefore can't afford to lose Miku." Because that's pretty much what he said in the end. Furthermore, I'd dare say this shows more about Producer himself, in that he does have a soft side and would let something like this travesty slide as long as it is a one-off. There is also that ending image where Take-P has the 3 mischievous ones apologize to Nina for messing up her (i think?) cafe.
IN OTHER NEWS Meister-P's Cinderella Showcase! Last episode showcased a particular vivavious Passion idol who recently most randomly got a voice in the CG game, and another cool number in disguise. Now we know that whoever suddenly gets assigned a voice, she WILL appear in the next week's. The lady (or ladies) in particular are Takagata Sanae and Yamato Aki. First up is Sanae of Passion. She's a neighbourhood cop with a flair for the most flirtatious statements, and goodness knows if THAT was how you first scout her. Thankfully she's also got that bodacious booty that can literally stop traffic. Training her up can be a rather... engaging experience as she apparrently puts her fans under arrest. This SR+ is top tier 20c, and it says all: Spoiler for Crime scene investigation:
Up next is another trooper in uniform, the Cool lieutenant Aki. She is practically a space battleship that also sports dangerous sloped armor and a really bouncy upper front plate. In life, she's a junior officer of in the SDF Reserve with a massive military interest, from culture to quotes to uniforms and models. Her first appearance sparked some ripples through production circles as some worry that she is the symbol of Japanese militarization, if PLA newsletters are to be believed. Her cards are amusing to say the least, posing with a repurposed CB set to singing into a microphone stand built into a material rifle. Spoiler for Fun Fact: The IJN Yamato fired shells of caliber that were LARGER than it was on her blueprints:
In my head, I'd think Anya and Aki would hit it off quite well, once Anya talks about her favorite tank, the SU-100. ![]() I'm currently working to get into the top 2000 players on the current CG event, hopefully I land the SR+ and can showcase Yamato here in all her glory. Meanwhile, here's my current lineup in celebration of Sanae's anime appearance: Spoiler for I call it the Beach Landing Party:

Due to being at home with a connection 10 times slower, I was lagging quite a bit on watching tonight's episode.
Spoiler for ep 6:

... Damn it screenwriter, I want to see Producer's smile, but this kind of impact is having quadruple damage on my heart... Looks like we'll be in a very rough ride before we can see him smiling along with the rest of the girls.

Heh, Mio's reaction this episode didn't take me by complete surprise honestly. Still, out of all the gloom and doom at the end there, I liked the outfits from the latest episode. This is just adorable:

From the looks of it, this series will definitely have more emotions than I expected it to be. A rough ride indeed.

Err... generally speaking, Mio had too much expectations and though they were famous after the successful performance as back dancers for Mika so she was angry at the low attendance rate.
When confronting the Producer on the issue, he told her that this was to be expected and Mio burst and exclaimed she did not want to be an idol anymore. Actually, what the Producer mean is that they are still rookies and the performance was actually a success as they manage to draw attention of passerby. The Producer is in the wrong as he cannot word his thoughts properly to tell Mio about her overwhelming expectation and Mio for throwing a tantrum. Really a shame as Nitta and Anastatsia was very happy that there were even people at the performance at all. |

I was annoyed that they cut off Anatatasia and Minami's performance into the New Gen's 'performance'. I was confused for a sec and thought they were all suddenly on the same stage. Really should have kept those two performances separate.

So Mio wants to run before she can walk. Yeah she sets her expectations too high for her debut, but Producer just failed to explain properly and he knows it.
Which is a shame really considering by all accounts both units were actually successful. Interesting to note, they actually held their performance at Sunshine City. Not a bad place to hold a mini-concert.

We really need to learn more about Producer in the next ep or so. His heart's definitely in the right place, but he's so awkward and oblivious that he feels kinda lifeless to me. If he's gonna be a man of few words, there needs to be at least a couple times that his words are more than just "This is your first step. Do your best". (although this line was super great)
I'm being a little harsh maybe, but it's because I really look forward to this show every week, and I feel like it's getting close to becoming something as memorable as the first Idolm@ster was for me. It just needs an extra step up! |

The next episode or so will have the producer chasing her down in some form and properly explaining what the expectation is from 346 productions end, and that it's a step by step process to build a fan base like what Mika has. I think both groups did fine as far as people showing up for this mini concert was concerned.
Also, I think he started to say the correct thing, but Mio twisted it as well based on her thoughts on the last concert, and also as the leader of the group. |
