Okay, I think I've found the Emi part in the epilogue. Going by my understanding it went something like this:

"I'm really sorry ...... but please, can I remain a little longer like this ....."

While muttering those words that came from within her heart Emi snuggled up to Maō. Like a flash of lightning the dining table became alive.

"Yu, yuyuyuyuyuyuyuyusa-san!? Uhhm!? What, what uhhm!?"

"Ohh, Emi's bold! Fuhyuuuu"

"Emilia~ ...... this way of talking~ it's too much~"

"Please, I ask you not to bring any more trouble into the castle ...... please"

Chiho was close to fainting while shouting. The one blowing the whistle was Ashiesu I think. Emeralda's face became stiff and Maō's face lost its colour and he dropped his chopsticks and rice bowl. The only one who was untroubled by all that was Alas Ramus who just declared "Papa and Mama are chummy!".

A question about volume 12

Spoiler for volume 5 and 12 spoilers:

So, where is Emi living in volume 12? In volume 5 - she talks about "that day" - I gather that means renting an appartment in the same building - or moving the deamons to empty appartments near her... Can someone please clarify?

Hmm not sure what you're talking about in vol5 but currently she's still staying in her pretty high class apartment but doubt she'll stay there for long since she's earning around 700-800 ish? And her monthly rent is 500

She says, that she pays 50000 yen per month, and mentions “There really are a lot of reasons. Sigh……there still seems to be a lot of empty rooms opposite, it looks I have to make up my mind one day.”

So, I'm trying to clarify - does anything come of this?

Nope. In vol 11 she's still in the apartment telling Rika and Eme that it's freaking cheap at $500/mth due to accidents occured in the apartment previously. She did say that she'll move in with Nord in the future but not at the moment as she doesn't have enough money to move.

The Maou was defeated by the hero and escaped to the human world. He got a job ad MgRonalds. The hero Emi followed him. She stalks him for a while. Various amusing things happen and his coworker Chiho falls for him. An assassin comes after him. She becomes something of a friend and falls for him. The Hero Emi and Maou gain children from various events. Hero Emi's parents reappear. Hero falls for Maou. Hero starts working at MgRonalds with Maou..... This summary is so lame I feel like I've wasted 2 minutes of my life that I'm never going to get back.
