Not much further until the finish line.
It keeps getting closer with each episode.
Onoda is carrying all the hopes and dreams of the Sohoku team!
And he keeps on impressing!!!!
The look on Manami's face said it all.
Still, it wasn't gonna be easy to beat Manami..

That was incredibly intense, I was sitting at the edge of my seat the whole episode! By this point I honestly don't care who wins the race as long as Sakamichi makes it past the finish line. I do wish his mother eventually acknowledges what he's actually doing by the end of this season, I much prefer the parents playing a supportive role (e.g. Baby Steps) - or even simply a role in general - instead of this oblivious behaviour intended as humour... But not really expecting much development there.

Big day for Yowwpeda, with an original theatrical movie and OAD announced - but no S3 news. I can only assume they're waiting to let the manga rebuild a bigger lead, though they have enough chapters to keep going if they wanted.

Decent episode that gives a good amount of insight on the race between Manami and Sakamachi.

I got a feeling this series won't end for the season though. Hoping for another season. Nice to see a movie being announced as well and it seems to be an original.

Manami's wings fell off.
Guess he overdid it and was done for.
Midousuji was out on his back. He already gave it his all and failed.
Manami is the next in line for failure.
Onoda was pushing it hard!
It was amazing to see him catch up to Manami.
Time to cross the finish line!
Finally! Onoda's mom realized what her son was doing.
I knew it... cliffhanger!

#24 Final

Spoiler for plot:

Nerve wrecking finish!!
The kid finally did it.
He made us all proud!
Their final thoughts were cool.
The long awaited victory was amazing..
The rest of the team couldn't believe it.
Onoda was probably the biggest surprise of the Inter-High.
The emotions in this episode were pretty high.
Imaizumi was like a proud dad ^^
It was nice that Sohoku got acknowledged by the competition.

I don't care how ludicrous it was for a beginner like Onoda to win the first Inter-High he ever took part in. After watching so many sports anime series where the main characters lose their first big tournament for the sake of realism and showing that athletes have to experience the bitter taste of defeat before becoming winners, I really needed the shameless, crazy, cathartic wish fulfillment this arc's ending gave us. Even if they never give Yowamushi Pedal additional seasons, I thought this was a perfect finale.

It was so uplifting for Onoda to win, I'm tired of the bittersweet endings of late so it was such a nice change.

This series overall has been one of my favorites of recent years, its an absolute gem of a show and thats coming from someone with zero interest in cycling.

yes i believe it his mom.

I AM more then satisfied with this ending , in fact like everyone above , i wouldnt want anything less then this, tired of sport anime where you have to lose first to win... so i am more then happy

Maybe she was too clueless and bought the wrong one?

I alternate between finding her ignorance hilarious and annoying. If I were Onoda, I'd definitely be pissed, but he's way too nice and humble to get angry at his mom, I guess.

One big question I have is where the series goes from here. Will Onoda win again? Does he lose in his second year, and win in the third? Does Imaizumi take first place one of these years? It's so hard to predict.

Soooo, I'm reading ANN's article about the recent Yen Press manga licenses which included the Yowamushi Pedal manga and at the end of the YowaPeda paragraph was a surprising (to me) statement.

Crunchyroll streamed the anime adaptation and its sequel as it aired in Japan and Discotek Media licensed both.
