Guessing either pre-orders were amazing or the boost in novel sales was ridiculous to get an announcement now. If it had been pre-planned, it would've just been announced at the end of the season finale like others do.

Pre-planned split cour was also my initial reaction, though unlike usual it's a gap of six months between the seasons rather than three. Possibly because IMS needs the time to work on the DAL movie... it does seem odd to announce it before the last episode though.

Didn't see a second season coming. The BDs must have great and I guess using those censors was oddly effective.

Its funny this is one of those series that desperately needed the BDs and thats whats gonna get it a second season. Its average in every aspect without the censoring and those scenes that are censored are most of what we have been watching for.

Could be. For months now, IMS has been mentioning that they're booked until 2016. They secured a full two years of work from the get-go, which suggests that this may have already been planned.

I just checked the BD/DVD pre-orders and looks like sales will be little more than average at best. So I guess 2nd season was something they had planned.

isnt it expected to sell 5k? if so thats more than enough for this type of anime

By the way i think i know why i've been so down on Testament. Its because since the beginning many of us compared it to DxD and many of us have also said its better then DxD. so i've been analyzing it and comparing the two series and i'm disappointed because of the fact that other then the fanservice DxD is superior pretty much every other way.

So this series is getting a second season -_-...

fan service sells.

Though if I compare it to dxd. While I can't tolerate Issei's perversion at least I like the story there a bit. But not that much(it also helps I like the story setting there than here) This series is just too much fan service that i don't even care anymore and just decidedly to drop it after the first arc and the start of second arc. stupid fan service are stupid if you ask me. like doing fan service for the sake of fan service.

I think it's 4k-5k and that's not high enough for them to suddenly announce another season. Like I said 2nd season was something they already planned.
