I'm pretty sure that copyright wise, it would be easier for the new studio to remake the scenes rather than licensing the ones from the past studio. Also, there is no way that they are gonna back track that much; volume 7 starts with Hikki in a "strange situation"; and the best way to show that his situation is weird, is to show why it changes.....
(If you don't remember, Hikki's strange situation is him being hated by everybody but being favored by the club; the PV already showed us the tea scene♥)

We'll probably just get Hayama berating at Hikki (relevant to vol 7); Sensei's speech about hurting (which is also a foreshadow) and at best; Harunon and Yukinon arguing with Hikki after the song (I wish); and that will use 1/4 or 1/3 of the episode at best.

Goodness gracious...dat night walk after eating ramen with sensei. I feel like christmas came again way too soon and we're only on march.

I have high hopes for the "help me someday" scene. We all trashed Feel but I believe they're putting their all on this one.

By the way, there's no copyright involved here; the production committee has all the rights they need to the first season. (Anime studios rarely own the anime they create, as it's usually produced under contract.) It's just that some people would find it jarring within a single season to switch different visual styles, and it'd be difficult to make modifications even if slight, so in most cases they'll just re-animate any flashback scenes to make it feel more coherent.

They're going to have reanimate scenes to get viewers back on track and maybe animate the scenes that weren't in the first season. Or at least, that's my hope.

Though the PV had mostly scenes from volume 7 and some sprinkles from 8. Volume 9 stuff is going to be under wraps until we get there.

Is it next, next Thursday yet?

Yeah, that sounds absolutely right about everyone chipping in.

On a less important note, did Yukino put a hand on her chin at least once? The other signature pose (hand on her temple as if trying to suppress a headache and let out a sigh) is in the illustration.

Answering this again, first hand to chin gesture is in chapter 1, 30 pages in, . And the PV actually shows her doing it too. Maybe I can adjust my wording to match that...

I doubt they will do the whole scene they may do a recollection but it will probably be quick. I'm hoping when she walks through the door he flashes back to looking for Sagami and they show the Kawasaki scene. I'm still kinda hoping for a hikkixsaki ending or hikkixshizuka but i don't think so. I have nothing against Yukino or Yui i just want to see a spin ending none saw coming.

The pv hinted this, with Hikki say a line during the video that it's said after Hayama leaves, I think it was "A world where no one gets hurt is now complete". Also, this event is referenced later when Hayama and Hikki "argue" in vol 7, so it's better to add it to evade easy lose strings.

I'm fine with the ending being somewhat unexpected, but I agree that it should be consistent with the rest of the story so far. As much as people call for a Sensei end, or some other third option, I feel like there isn't enough in that happened between them and 8man to justify that ending. But there is a very real possibility of Watari pulling a fast one on us.
