I wonder if we'll see Akari and co. wearing yukata in Megami/Nyantype (or even bikini)? Last edited by Ernietheracefan; 2015-02-11 at 19:30. |

Can I still hope that this will spur things on towards getting an Amanchu adaptation?
Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted to see this, it just feels... off-balance? It's hard to describe. Aria came to an ending that was touching and satisfying and complete. It doesn't feel quite right to be bringing it back. Still, this is the series that introduced me to the concept of "slice of life" in anime, and it gave me a standard for pure relaxing peacefulness that no series has ever quite been able to match. I love it, and I love these girls.

i actually haven't been following amanchu much. where i normally find my scans stopped updating in 2012... so i'm not as emotionally invested as i am with ARIA.
but anyways, i'm so happy. i can't wait to revisit this series. that's all i can say. I still watch random episodes every now and then, and it never lets me down. if its an entirely new series, i hope it retains the feel of the series. if its an OVA of something, i hope its the Marriage to the Sea chapter. this series had such a large impact on my life (see sig!) and just the chance to go back one more time makes me so happy.

My eyes are pleased with this PV From the scenes in the PV though, I'm thinking this will be a sequel with some flashbacks to the past.

Oh god that's Ai-chan dressed up as an Undine and Akari is making a perfect reproduction of the scene where she herself first got on the gondola with Alicia. I am now officially hyped for this. Ai-chan banzai!

Ai chan was a single in that short shot we got so I guess it's at least a year after the end of the series.

^Whoops - never post before I've had my first cup of tea of the day...
As I remember, Athena never had as full a role as Alicia or Akira, so it looks like they've decided to use previously recorded dialogue rather than recast the role. I guess they could probably cut and reassemble recordings if necessary to make added dialogue? It's a nice tribute to the memory of Kawakami Tomoko that they've not recast the role. |

So, this will take place after the end of the series as the title implied. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see grown-up Alice! Something tells me we're only going to see Akari and Ai in the present while the rest of the characters will appear in flashback though.
