Isla was more or less fine as expected but I liked how the aftermath of a dramatic event like the "death" of a giftia turned out into something positive to strengthen the bond between Tsukasa and her. Those heartfelt smiles were amazing and likewise Tsukasa's determination to stay with her no matter what. He almost has full points with Isla now as seen in the progressive changes near the end of each OP.

By that standard, you must be pretty creepy too ...
LOL. Kono ato wa, gohan ni suru? Ofuro ni suru? Soretomo ... Wa-ta-shi ... It's bad for my heart, really ... I feel sorry for Souta, make me realized it's actually that hard to bid proper farewell ... |

I guess they've got me. The emotion worked for me. And Isla is truly moe. The gap between her serious face and her ignorance of the human condition is giving her a feeling of depth, for me.
But I wish I hadn't watched the bit after the credits, which did as much as it could to spoil the whole effect with stupid "humour." In fact, I still don't have much confidence in the people making this show.

I have mixed thoughts about the show still. It has potential to go somewhere but I don't think its a bad show as it is.
Here are some impressions and predictions: http://www.almostmainstream.net/arti...-6-impressions I think the predictions in there will be more or less right, but we will see. |

For that matter, family members acting on emotions rather than reason when a loved one is about to be taken away isn't exactly a surprise. Especially when the owner's a child. Quote:

The simple truth is a Giftia hospice would cost money and has been shown SAI is just as much about corporate greed as any modern day corp.
Anyway, if I'm interpreting the flashbacks correctly Isla got all emo about the wanderer case and couldn't perform putting Kazuki into the position she was in ultimately costing her her leg? The way Kazuki terminated their partnership was overly terse if not vengeful imo, considering the flashbacks implied they had a good friendship going on. Isla being an inept partner should have been evident to Kazuki long before their wanderer case. If she was going to be ultra-professional about wanting a Giftia that could perform their duties she should have reported Isla and sought a replacement asap. |

I think the issue wasn't Isla freezing up, she wasn't even involved in the retrieval, and Kazuki confirmed she was OK going in action alone. Rather, I think it was a mixture of Kazuki not wanting to be around Giftias after the incident and also getting a taste of just how painful the farewell is going to be. The incident certainly left room for Kazuki to toss blame left and right, but if it was to be directed at anyone specific, I think the prime contender would have to be R Security.

The most part of this episode was the same stupid comedy and shitty jokes, throwing out of the window everything from the last 2 episodes. Atleast the date and the last part was good, we can see how Isla and the MC loves each other, they just need to say it.

Ep 7
Actually I did not think this episode was so bad...maybe I have just gotten used to the type of content the series seems settled and delivering and try to enjoy it within those expectations? In any event I enjoyed the episode. Isla really pulled on my heartstrings in this one, and I felt it was continuing to be much more restrained than the excesses of earlier eps.
