ep23 was an odd little bit of randomness (4 eps left?? what is that, rabbit counting?) but the ending eyecatches were great as well as the random "fanservice" pics sprayed throughout the ep.

iwas just thinking that we hadnt seen kurumis brother for awhile.

the episode was kind of jumbled but it was at least interesting to watch.

yes there are.episode 1- 11 if I'm not wrong. There is one episode where they went out on excursion and had to choose a real rabbit out of a thousand of rabbits hanging on the tree. In those episodes Pani Poni Dash stories are not that jumbled.

Chuck Norris is, like, "the overused Internet gag of the year".
((World of Warcraft has a whole lore section of C.N. inanity ... there's even a "chuck norris" weapon that looks oddly like a huge bowie knife --- when I saw that, I knew that the concept of even tongue-in-cheek roleplay was dead in WoW))

yes... even in Japan, they revere Chuck Norris as a god.... o good grief, now *I'm* doing lame Chuck Norris proverbs. Yes, the original lines do contain "chuck norris".

Yes, I heard carefully, both Ep 22 and 24. It did say "Chuku Norisu" or sumpin like that. I thought it was just an Internet Phenom in the U.S....but even Japan gettin into it? I wonder if Ep 25 and 26 uses Chuck Norris gags cuz of it. *sigh*

For me, this episode has nothing new. I feel most of it are overused. Other than that. slow releases from both fansub. Most probably because of doing research for references of parody and such. I did read the pdf files for few episodes. Later on, I dont think that it's erally entertaining to me.

the 'chuck' thingie is just a play on words
'chakku' means 'zipper' so the first line should be translated as "I'll zip my lips." and the second one is the pun with 'chakku' and 'Chuck (Norris)'

Not to mention the scene shown after Mesousa ask "What is Chuck Norris" is a reference to Chuck Norris role in The Way of the Dragon.

I guess no one bothered to read the pdf...

There are tons of 2Ch references all through the series, so it doesn't surprise me one bit that there's a shout-out to Chuck Norris.

Ep 24 though... Series seems to be losing steam, but on the other hand, Miyako of the Buddhist Prayer looked absolutely badass!

Even the Japanese understand the Truth that is Chuck Norris

Chuck Norris allowed himself to be defeated by Bruce Lee for the filming of Way of the Dragon. Bruce Lee died shortly thereafter. Coincidence?

Are you implying that the greatest martial artist in the past 100 years fought with Chuck Norris, got internal injuries that resulted in a blood clot, which travelled to his brain and killed him. Which means that Chuck Norris killed Bruce Lee.

Finally sat down to watch ep 24 ... I can see why it took so long to research the references so kudos to the gg staff.

Unfortunately, the episode itself was fairly unfunny -- more like a Jeopardy visual quiz. And despite being an obvious location for the Ichijou Festival song to be completely heard (as it is on the OST) -- it isn't heard at all. No appearance by our intrepid aliens... sorry, the whole episode seems kind of half-hearted outside of "quick, find some references we can stick in" -- dunno, just seemed like a wasted opportunity episode.

The saving grace is that some of the side characters got decent screen time: the twins; the large busty one and her short friend neither of whom I can ever recall their names; and two favorites: costume girl and cat-hair girl whom I guess we'll never see clarify their friendship. This episode also made use of more snippets of the OST than any other single episode I can recall.

Starting to remind me of the last few episodes of Freakazoid where the idea well ran dry... ah well.

No, I'm suggesting there was some smokey back room deal where Bruce Lee traded his life to defeat Chuck Norris on screen.
