It's pretty clear from the last two episodes that the Tartarus arc is unlike any Fairy Tail arc that's come before. And I for one can't wait.

I felt bad for Laxus in the latest episode tbh. Hope Natsu can avenge this by fighting Jackal next time based on the buildup this episode.

He's come a long way from the guy who couldn't be bothered to help his friends fight Phantom Lord unless Lucy became his slave girl.

Is the adaption of this arc so far good? I was going to watch just the final fights of this arc but I dont know, maybe I could watch it(I dont have enough time to keep up with it week by week)...

It's been better than most of the Sun Village arc. And it's supposed to include a subplot that Hiro had to cut from the manga for time. Hopefully that could pad out the episodes without relying on seven minutes of recaps.

I heard a year ago that he removed 3 antagonists from the arc due to those same time constraints. So does this mean they would be making an appearance in the anime?

The tweet mentioned something about 3 antagonists, so I believe that to be the case. I just hope it's not the Butt Jiggle Gang...

Tempesta sure caused a lot of destruction around town.
Laxus intervened.
Was surprised to see that demon go down so easily.
I just got my hopes up too soon..
The contamination was pretty bad.
The look on Natsu's face said it all.
Protecting the council members is high priority now.

Supposedly 3 more members of Tartarus are going to be featured this arc that got cut for time in the manga. How this will work I'm not sure, since most of the major characters get a fight anyway this arc.

Well interesting move there. Basically takes out one of the strongest members of Fairy Tail from this upcoming struggle. Going to be all the tougher since they can't rely on Laxus to bail them out.

Fairy Tail certainly has some big numbers, but only so many are going to be able to go up against these sorts of monsters.

LOL.... everyone wnats Lucy as their slave girl these days...

Also, poor Laxus and awesome Laxus at same time.

He tried to save the town by sucking in the mist, but only to turn out pointless cause the mist is still spreading and killing people.

Laxus's efforts is basically useless.

But he did kill the Demon, or at least he thought he did... but the Demon seems to be regenerating even after he died... immortal Demons...

This is gonna be one hard battle for Fairy Tail if you're fighting against a group of unkillable Demons that'll come right back even after you defeat them.

Not to mention Fairy Tail is losing their Powerhouses too, so they're even weaker to go up against Tartaros.

Bet at the end it'll just be Natsu and Erza left standing and going all plotarmor crazy, LOL (like all previous arcs)

The recaps are getting longer now...I think almost 7 minutes this week which is about 1/3 of the episode.

However, the remainder was fun with the fight. I think I liked Natsu's response from Jackal's twisted choices:

It'd be better if the recaps were just from the previous episode, but the jumping around (And putting some both before and after the opening) just looks weird. At least they are still adapting two chapters an episode. And that the rest of the episode was still great.

Yeah, the recaps are getting even more ridiculous at this point. 7 minutes to actually start the episode?

The episode itself was good though. Really is a shame they couldn't just let Jackal kill that guy. I doubt anyone outside his granddaughter actually likes him in any respect.

What a pain to deal with ability there. Explosions and if you hit him physically then you explode. Should be fun to see how Natsu handles this guy next week. He could deal with that one blast, but if he hits him a dozen times he won't have time to deal with it.

Still they could have just made the fights a few minutes longer to fill out of the episodes.

Looks like Fairy Tail is following in the footsteps of Naruto & One Piece.
Those recaps sure are getting longer..
Jackal met his match in Natsu.
Shame the whole explosion thing got in the way..
Nothing seems to be helping against that Jackal.
That old guy really was a coward..
So the demons are using curses instead of magic.. no wonder they are hard to beat.
Natsu managed to come through in the end.
