Considering there is already sufficient experimentation now in allowing save sex reproduction, I don't see the problem in such reproduction occurring 62 years in the future.

The game might start by the mc looking for his/her family (he just freaking woke up, so of course he is going to be in denial about them being gone) but the stakes are against them being alive right from the get go, also I'm sure there is more to the story than just looking for his wife and kid.

But this is Fallout, so who knows.
We won't know and in the end I don't think it will matter.

If the baby survived, I hope we play as him/her at the end when the parent eventually sacrifices themselves.

This is based on Americana era USA, would they even be tolerable of it at that point from a public viewpoint? Maybe, maybe not.

What does political correctness have to do with this? If I want to play a gay character then I want to play a gay character. I'm not talking about moral or political outrage (whether it is justifiable or not), but gamer outrage . In Fallout 3 i was able to play a complete basterd since birth or whatever I wanted. The point is, it was my decision just what my character was and could be.

Maybe they wouldn't, but Bethesda does not live or work in a 50s Americana world (which is rightfully treated as a joke in their games) nor do they design games for an audience of 70 year Olds reminiscing on the good old times. They create games for a 21st century audience.

Possible twist. The baby grows up and becomes the villain of the story.

I read Kyero's post to mean to say PC modifications, rather than politically correct moderators.

Either way, I never rated Bethesda as particularly good storytellers. I'm kind of afraid that in their attempt to be Bioware, they'd end up ruining the single most important characteristic of the Bethesda Main Character: be whatever the hell you want to be + mods, mods, mods.

I would be highly displeased if I cannot "plausibly" play a middle school wasteland-destroying loli in this game because the main character's supposed to already have a child.

Lol, I'm use to Kyero using the term "pc" to express something very different in other threads .

...I did play nearly 800 hours of New Vegas, and I never felt compelled to try a mod to allow me to do that. The most I did there was install a hair mod to get more variety. In FO3 I installed a mod to fix the Gauss Rifle (aquired from Operation Anchorage) because of a recognized bug which was never fixed, and a mod to make the tesla gun actually useful for doing what it was supposed to do: shoot down vertibirds. I never saw much appeal to most other mods.

Haha he kind of left out that the Enclave wanted to take it over, control it and control the land. Not exactly a good idea to let THEM take it over, which your dad realized and tried to save by trapping them in with him.

The other replies are true tho. XD What the fuck Fawkes.

Now that you mention it, Fallout 3's plot really sounds pretty dumb.

To be fair, Broken Steel fixed the end so you could ask Fawkes, Charon, or Sergeant RL-3 safely activate Project Purity.

Yeah, Fawkes was kind of a dick at first. "I think it's more dramatic for you to die doing this, so no, I won't help."

Well he IS a Super Mutant, so of course he'd have a bit of a mean streak.

Bethesda's RPGs are known for their sandbox and mods, not for the writing ability.

On a separate note, sledge hammers just got more powerful. Screencap from the trailer showing a rocket-powered version.
