What I thought everyone knew journalism degrees have been meaningless for years .

Also especially in India where people can literally buy articles , so if daily mail didn't edit or source properly it might feel off cause of that, seems legit to me.

Though Antonin Scalia's dissenting was just utterly bizarre and hilarious , calling it "pure applesauce" what does that even mean I ask you.

On the local side here, there have been calls to legalise gay marriage but it has been cockblocked largely by the religious moralist-wannabes who think that it is a sin, based on some millennia old writings.

And all that moral high ground (while stringing themselves up with "I refuse to stoop to your level and let you beat me with experience"), they forget their fundamental tenets of their own religion.

Just a few comments on this surprising thing.

I'm not sure where in the Bible it says that the wife should be stoned for going through a divorce. If they're referring to Jesus labeling marrying someone else after going through a divorce as adultery (assuming the divorce isn't due to adultery in the first place), then that is true. But regardless, no Christian should be stoning anyone for any reason as we're not under the Mosaic law. That's not to say that the principles behind the law of Moses no longer applies.

The Bible says that the consequence of a homosexual lifestyle is physical death, at least for the Israelites. The consequence of any sin for anyone is spiritual death, which is why all humans need God to save and bring us back to life.

Letting/condoning your neighbor to continue to sin unrebuked isn't loving them as, once again, the wages of sin is death. (Of course, physically/verbally abusing them isn't loving them either, but that's not to say that telling them that they're doing something wrong is abuse.)

And finally, equality must be defined properly within context. For example, it is not equality to let everyone get a promotion regardless of their performance at work.

Personally, I'm not great on using kids as mouthpieces for whatever political agenda. I don't like it when the homophobes do it, and I don't like it when pro-LGBTQ do it. Voting is age-restricted for a reason.

See if you're just telling them once that's fine, but you're making it a daily habit to tell them they're wrong every time you see them, or one of those preachers who spend time day after day protesting how they're wrong.

Then I would argue telling someone they're wrong ALL the time, being demanding, and stubborn about it is a form of verbal abuse, it's certainly capable of being just as mental damaging especially to younger people, which is why I'd call it abuse. Especially on something beyond their control like sexual preference.

Obviously, but Equality when it comes to being equally treated under the law is pretty clear what is it, or so I would think anyways.
