It is a claim as reported by an activist group.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

What I thought everyone knew journalism degrees have been meaningless for years .

Also especially in India where people can literally buy articles , so if daily mail didn't edit or source properly it might feel off cause of that, seems legit to me.

Full Marriage Equality has come to America.

Like, really.

A deeply divided [United States] Supreme Court on Friday delivered a historic victory for gay rights, ruling 5 to 4 that the Constitution requires that same-sex couples be allowed to marry no matter where they live.

The court’s action rewarded years of legal work by same-sex marriage advocates and marked the culmination of an unprecedented upheaval in public opinion and the nation’s jurisprudence.

[...]

All four of the court’s most conservative members — Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr. — dissented, and each wrote a separate opinion. [a highly unusual step]

[...]

There were wild scenes of celebrations on the sidewalk outside the Supreme Court. Same-sex marriage supporters had arrived early, armed with signs and rainbow flags. They cheered at the announcement of a constitutional right for gay marriage, which did not legally exist anywhere in the world until the turn of this century. The first legally recognized same-sex marriages in the United States took place just 11 years ago, the result of a Massachusetts state supreme court decision.

Jim Obergefell, who became the face of the case, Obergefell v. Hodges, when he sought to put his name on his husband’s Ohio death certificate as the surviving spouse, said, “Today’s ruling from the Supreme Court affirms what millions across the country already know to be true in our hearts: that our love is equal.”
Justice Kennedy wrote the Majority Opinion, in itself a stunning piece of rhetoric that leaves no doubt as to the Court's awareness of cultural importance of this decision. The opinion concludes:

Quote:
No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were. As some of the petitioners in these cases demonstrate, marriage embodies a love that may endure even past death. It would misunderstand these men and women to say they disrespect the idea of marriage. Their plea is that they do respect it, respect it so deeply that they seek to find its fulfillment for themselves. Their hope is not to be con demned to live in loneliness, excluded from one of civilization’s oldest institutions. They ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. The Constitution grants them that right.

The judgment of the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit is reversed.

It is so ordered.
In a day when blood spills in France, Tunisia, Kuwait, and Syria, when hate storms the Middle East under the banner of a corrupted black flag, love prevails in the Far West.

It is so ordered.

I'm not the only one going rainbow crazy, either.

The Supreme Court is crazy. Why not allow female-female marriage? Why allow male-male marriage! That is so wrong!

Now all the fujoshis will undertake "field study" trips to the US and increase their numbers!

The dissent from the 4 opposing judges is dumb as hell, except maybe one.

This is an appropriate gif to summarize Kennedy's last paragraph,

Since, I can't resist the cuteness,

Something to think about today. It all makes sense now.

Gay marriage and marijuana being legalized on the same day.

Leviticus 20:13 – “if a man lays with another man, as with a woman, he should be stoned.”

We’ve just been interpreting it wrong all along.

Can we give them a reserve like the Old Order Amish, if they want to live the 21st century with ancient rules from their little magical books?

I've been a bit busy, but I am very happy about the Supreme Court decision , it's a big step forward.

Though Antonin Scalia's dissenting was just utterly bizarre and hilarious , calling it "pure applesauce" what does that even mean I ask you.

Well here is something epic :

Still, morals are morals. I volunteer to punish that loli - *IS SHOT*

On the local side here, there have been calls to legalise gay marriage but it has been cockblocked largely by the religious moralist-wannabes who think that it is a sin, based on some millennia old writings.

And all that moral high ground (while stringing themselves up with "I refuse to stoop to your level and let you beat me with experience"), they forget their fundamental tenets of their own religion.

Personally, I'm not great on using kids as mouthpieces for whatever political agenda. I don't like it when the homophobes do it, and I don't like it when pro-LGBTQ do it. Voting is age-restricted for a reason.

Then I would argue telling someone they're wrong ALL the time, being demanding, and stubborn about it is a form of verbal abuse, it's certainly capable of being just as mental damaging especially to younger people, which is why I'd call it abuse. Especially on something beyond their control like sexual preference.
