He started killing non-combatants. Sure he kills those who oppose him but that was just a senseless massacre at the end.

And that's him on the brink of loosing his sanity (as seen when Miu & all his allies is untouched when he was on a rampage). Just how far can he fall if he loses everything?

If you're talking about the Mazoku race, wasn't it stated somewhere in the forum how they fully supported the Ehito in what he/she does? Considering that Hajime told Freed that he'll massacre them if he pulled something; and the fact that the Mazoku race supported/cheered Ehito fully, then Hajime really had no reason to no massacre them.

It's a bit more complex than that.

Hajime's earlier words to Freed were mostly just a bluff at the time. From very early on in the story Hajime drew a definite line for himself with regards to killing innocent people and noncombatants. That's why he developed the rubber coated bullets, adjusted the strength of his gunpowder, and never fired the railgun where it could possibly hit someone other than his intended target. He realized that if he crossed the line and started killing people other than his enemies he might become a total monster and lose the few remaining shreds of humanity he had left. This came up when they first encountered Tio and Yue stopped him from killing her for that very reason.

This chapter ultimately represented Hajime hitting rock bottom. Losing Yue, he fell completely into despair and gave up on everything, finally crossed that line. It was only because of Myuu and the rest of the girls that he was finally able to come back from the brink. Following this, I suspect Hajime will proceed to the final battle as he always has without any more senseless slaughter like this taking place.

It's rather disturbing but somewhat understandable to see Hajime snap like that. I find the other side kinda stupid to jusy NOt finish Hajime when he already threatened to commit genocide on the demon side. Despair tends to make one lose control and forget about things like morals

He may not be able to use Deny All Existence like that again, at least in that form. For the fight with Ehito I find it more likely that he may come up with yet another concept magic based on the idea of taking Yue back.

Well, one good thing that came from Yue gone is that now the other girls have a lot of chance to rack more Hajime points. Yue is a great character and all, but eating too much of your favorite food can still make you fed up with them, I want more variety(Shizuku) dammit.

Haha, well that might happen if Ehito could recognize Hajime and company as a genuine threat instead of just insects. Unfortunately, hubris will likely prove to be Ehito's undoing. Frankly I'm a bit disappointed that the gods are such pathetic cookie cutter villains, although I suppose that's what happens when they only show up at the end of the story.

So if he can't use Denial of Existence, wonder if he'll come up with Denial of God. lol Though I wonder if that would make Hajime...the ultimate atheist. Or would the concept magic be something along the lines of bolstering Yue's resistance enough for her to kick Ehito out.

Still, for an ad hoc creation, those chains were seriously effective, even if he did go total annihilation mode to be able to use it. And AFTER he had had his ass systematically kicked eight ways from north.
