I'm quite skeptic over this really. Especially after they messed up Rome 2. They had the whole franchise with very similar playing system and still fail on their flagship game. Now move to a new territories with new mechanisms (flying and large size unit and such), don't know what kind of ridiculous bug will be on. Not to mention AI problems
I love both War Hammer and Total War through, so it's not like i hopes it to fail. But i will stay very skeptic

Didn't know what to think of the game at first (not a Warhammer player/fan), but after this footage, I'm pretty hyped up about the game. I think it's pretty neat how they added all these minor details to the units such as some of them jump in right when they charge in, those trolls puking acid bile, or how that giant troll picks up the units and eats them, and just the way some of the units move such as those griffin-type cavalry (forgot the name).

Seems like the units mostly have the one animation when attacking. Could just be the work in progress, but it definitely does add to the units. I do like how they show us these things. But with the Siege of Carthage back in Rome 2, it all depends on non-scripted battles/campaign.. The concept of air control is really appealing though. Definitely a fan of that. Time to sit back and wait to see how this further develops.
It's a little funny to hear some Rome 2 audio at the beginning
