Looks good by far...And I'm glad Makoto Miyazaki got given more musical works! Too bad that the JAM Project opening sounds a bit underwhelming, but I'll get used to it regardless.
It is also rare for a late-night anime airing on TV Tokyo to also show up in BS Japan, perhaps the channel itself just wants to give more exposure there for a while?

I hope Shueisha gave Madhouse a gigantic budget to make each episode as good as this. The sakuga was like Murata meets Imaishi at times, so freaking hyped.
Edit: Imaishi who did Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, etc. Love his style.

Even with those episodes having good scenes and overal good direction they can't compare to Naruto Sakuga episodes. But I get the point you're trying to make. It was definitely pretty good for a long running show. I'm wondering how many episodes OPM will get. I think a split 2 cour would be the best way to go. So they can actually try to follow the manga closely and have more material and at the same time have more time to work on the anime. |

That episode was great. Who needs undertitles if you have the glory of Saitama beating superaliens, giants and a crabguy in underwear? XD
His dream sequence was the best especially compared to how weak reality was when those underterrans really came out the next morning. xD

Interesting first episode! I enjoyed it. It's refreshing to see an episode where the hero openly admits he has gotten too strong. Even the achievement of great power can be boring after a while when there is nothing that can challenge such power. How exactly is this show going to stay interesting when the MC can finish any fight with one punch? I'm guessing each story-arc will develop around the events that lead to that one punch?
I guess I'll find out soon enough.

I remember laughing my ass off when I read the parts that was shown in the anime, but watching the first episode feels...I dunno, kinda sad. Mostly because with how they handled Saitama's monologue and the brief showing of the "fire" in his eyes in some scenes, you can really feel how empty Saitama is.
Damn, expected more laughs and awesomeness. Didn't expect to find some "feels" here .
