I agree, she does need a back story on why she became a leader of a cabal at a young age and how she knows about magic and her younger sister is clueless about supernatural stuff.

maybe something like this:
-happy family,
-parents are leaders of the cabal
-the two dont know anything
-parents killed
-some cabal members who betrayed the parents try to take over the leadership
-loyal followers inform birdway about the real things that caused her parents death
-birdway wants revenge and masters magic in a few weeks (or maybe days )
-crushes the betrayers
-takes over the role of the cabal leader in order to at least grant her sister a "normal"/safe life...

it doesnt really need to be explained, simply make the villians into nasty, powerhungry bast*rds and it will become self-explanatory

Can you really hope that Birdway backstory be so easy becasue in the past years Kamachi have made some insane from NT 7 Heroes and NT 9 end of all thing to the virus known as St Germain that turn a whole market into St Germain, I hope it can be as easy as Level7 said but Kamachi could do some insane crap which it yet.

Like the Birdway sisters do not even have a family and they were born form some magic experiments, I myself believe that Index could be an Artificial Child of Crowley that Laura made between herself and Crowley.

This I agree.

Since NT of Index, Kamachi did a lots of unexpected and expected cliche moves though its usually live up to the hype but after the hype, it become a bit boring.

Birdway is a genius of hardwork. A continues repetition that had been done by hundreds to thousands of times is what her ritual of magic is made up.

if you ask me, her magic can be the result of envy against the naturally gifted ones.

Some time yes but I still think NT 9 is awesome and would love to see that become an anime one day but it may not happen for the next 10 years, if ever.

That's a pretty awesome cover for NT14. But I'm also surprised that its one of the rare male only covers in both the franchise and the LN industry as a whole.

As silly as this sounds, its risky for a male targetted LN to NOT have a female on the cover. Only the super popular series can be be confident enough to get away with it. And yet even Index has only done it 4 times across 36+ volumes: OT15, OT19, NT5 and now NT14. All badass covers in their own right (minus NT5).

I'm secretly waiting for a Kamijou/Accelerator tagteam cover myself as well as a Kamijou/Stiyl and Accelerator/Stiyl cover.
