Damn, that Kudal guy is a cruel guy...and pretty psychotic when he fights. Pretty intense episode of action. I'm glad to see pacing picks up for a bit and the action this week in space was pretty well done.
Didn't surprise me that Masahiro is alive. I can't imagine what's going on in Akihiro's mind during that fight.

Another solid episode. Takaki is so freakin’ lucky considering how many death flags he has raised in the previous episode. And he added a cherry on top by saying “Save yourself, leave me here!” or something like that to Takahiro in this episode *sigh*. But anyway, this episode ended in a rather happy ending all things considered. But the next battle with the Brewers probably won’t result as pretty as in this episode. Death flags are still waving strongly for some characters, especially now that Tekkadan has someone they care about on the enemy's side.
Oh, and Almiria! We finally see McG’s, I mean, Macky’s loli fiance . She’s cute, but her hair looks like it belongs in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe. Speaking of belonging to another universe, the pilot for Gundam Gusion looks like a character who’s escaped from the JoJo universe. Someone please bring him back . Though I gotta agree with Lafter here that the Man Rodis and Gusion are kinda cute coz they're basically big balls of fluffy armor . That hammer of Gusion though. Thank heavens Mika was able to dodge it. Oh, and Merribit turns out to be a good doctor too (versatile woman indeed). Orga got told off by her (and by Naze later on) is kinda cute. Kudelia moped around again after failing to do anything after witnessing that much blood coming from Takaki's body. But she quickly got cheered up by Atra. Good job, little wifey! Small notes:

Interesting that McGillis and Galileo are part of a group that wants to reform Gjallarhorn. Like Nobliss and Teiwaz they see Kudelia as the key if they could get her at their side.
Gjallahorn as I speculated before are much like Farscape's Peacekeepers who were knights in shinning armor before centuries of change turned them to a corrupt organization. Gjallarhorn HQ on Earth don't have much control over other branches. If we take the treatment of Eins as an indication Earth sphere elitism could be a factor. For now McGillis is using mustache guy as an asset to find and get Kudelia. Orga's act of mercy is coming back to bite him. I like Orga and Mika's we got your back to Akihiro. Plan is pretty much beat the Brewer space pirates off their backs and take Akihiro's little brother. |

Hmmm well, they can spin it 2 ways: 1. Goodie ending: They rescue Masahiro and some of the other boys by killing the main pirates off. And in addition they end up with new comrades and MS 2. Tragic ending: The boys die (or at least Masahiro) along with the pirates and drama/sadness ensues Anyways despite the action being not that long this episode, it delivered what it needed to do. Next episode we get another battle and its probably gonna be much longer. The stage/objectives for Tekkadan/Teiwaz and the Brewers have been set and its time for the pieces to start moving And its gonna be our good ol' classic required battle in a shoal zone |

I absolutely love how the katana wasn't a magical beat-all cut-all device here - it simply glanced off hard armour, just as a real sharp blade would. Mika also commented "it's hard to use", and in the preview he's also carrying the mace - ALL HAIL THE GLORIOUS MACE. Ahem.
The ep was a little short on the fighting side, but I love how treating slaves as dirt is causing the same issues for pirates as it did for CGS. |

In fact, is this the first time in Gundam we're going to see a hammer vs hammer fight?!

Nice action and all, but the Tekaddan's side of story is so boring compared to what is currently happening on Earth and McGilis' side. I am looking forward to finding out what McGilis is intending to do and just what is the political situation in Gjallarhorn. And more Almiria please.
Kudelia should sorta cut down her "I can't do anything"thoughts. It is starting to get very repetitive.

>opens with a good action scene
>then bait and switch with MORE endless talking Once again the amount of pointless talking takes up half the run time and could have been cut out. The only scenes that were worth anything were Gjallhorn leaders talking about how the space rats would unclog the sewers (do they mean the criminal underworld?) and the muscular pilot of hammer wielder gundam rightfully beating the tar out of Akihiro's idiot brother who thought retreating during a mission was a smart idea (they had projectile resistant armor that strong and failed that hard, wow how pathetic is that). This series should be retitled to Gundam: Time Wasting Talkers. |

i like how the fight its not long or overdue but straight to the point (smash here shoot there, no useless comm chat, low on fuel and thats it time to bail).
That kudel mech is obviously hiding something, i still bet on my previous episode post about that mech can "cast off" his armor to show a more gundam like (at least the signature V fin gundam antenna). i nominated pedro as the fastest "named" character to die in a new record, we didnt even see his face (heck not even his voice) and he's already rip I know orga and the gang is still learning the rope being mercenary and stuff like that but, to have no doctor or at least someone with medical training in a spaceship with risky mission is just... I cant.... I mean, cmon that just silly. |
