I'm currently in the middle of a RWBY 1-2 rewatch and noticed something. During the field trip arc in volume 2, while they were both looking at the gigantic old elephant Grimm over in the distance when Oobleck mentions that those Grimm were "waiting."

Foreshadowing? Or perhaps... did he know something at that point?

According to the wiki, Oobleck "views history as an important way to prevent the repetition of past mistakes".

History is important, gentlemen! If you can't learn from it... you're destined to repeat it.

Chances are that he had seen a Goliath movement before, and he knows that shit is gonna happen when they begin moving.

Since the Goliaths were sighted near Mountain Glenn, maybe they were waiting for the Dragon to lead the way.

And I thought to share a good piece of insight about Yang from neoshadow1 on reddit, since a lot of people are worried about Yang's future development.

Yang is based on goldilocks, yes? So I realised how her personality is tying into that. Thinking back to the story of goldilocks and the three bears, the most iconic thing people remember is the porridge, and how it was too hot, too cold, and just right.

First she was too Hot , Charging wildly into battle, being very buzzy. Now she`s become too Cold moping, ignoring ruby and depressed about blake.

Obviously now she`ll develop and become Just right !

TL;DR Yang is Porridge.

Now if there was one about Blake I would love to hear about it.

For those interested, here's a video giving showing Salem's speech in one go, combining the intro to volume one with her conclusion in volume 3.

I have to say that, while hearing her final speech at the end of volume 3 was just freaky, hearing the entire thing from volume 1 to 3 was downright chilling.

Exactly, so if JNPR are going to die just like the people they are based on than its only fair that the se happens to RWBY... but you know their name is in the title so their chances of dying are 0 due to one of the strongest plot armor.

And before anyone tries to be cute about "plot armor not working like that" or something come back to me after they have died 103,000 times each time in a different and unique over the top way and maybe then we can talk about if an MC has plot armor or not.

I have to say that, while hearing her final speech at the end of volume 3 was just freaky, hearing the entire thing from volume 1 to 3 was downright chilling.

It kinda brings up the idea of "gods playing chess", only with countless beings at stake.

So you send your guardians, your Huntsmen and Huntresses, and when they fail and you turn to your smaller soul, know that you send her to the same pitiful demise.

That would support the theory that both Ozpin and Salem are otherworldly creatures of their own right, but Ozpin is too enigmatic to prove or disprove this claim. After all, he could just be a very strong Huntsman. That, however, brings the question of why Salem was this obsessed about his downfall, especially if he's just a human.

Since the story would most likely follow Ruby and what remains of JNPR, chances are that what we would find out about Ozpin would be at most fragments that would slowly be pieced together... in time.

Well volume 4 is most likely going to be very, very plot focused. Anyway to take the edge of that season finale...

In Japanese dub, Huntsmen and Huntress are changed to Hunters.
Nora Japanese dub is adorable as she sounds very Genki.
Somehow they made Jaune and Ren sound sexy, which i credit their Japanese voice actors for that. They even manage to make Jaune's female screaming more girly.
Pyrrha and Cinder's Japanese voices are perfect.
Penny Japanese dub does sounds very robotic.
People are gonna love Ruby calling Yang "Onee-chan' and Yang going "Ora! Ora! Ora!".

Actually, I only say that half-jokingly. I imagine any English subtitle track on the BDs is based on the original English audio. I'd be curious to see what localization changes they made for the Japanese language audio (besides the aforementioned "onee-chan").

And am I the only one that wants RWBY to take a page out of God of War, namely when Kratos escapes the underworld after Ares impales and kills him with a column? Namely a "we want our redheads back!" arc with team RWBY/JNR raiding the underworld to take Summer Rose and Pyrrha back to the land of the living and saying "NOPE NOPE NOPE we're taking back our loves ones, and not even death can stop us!"

Perhaps. I'm more inclined to think that at least 1 or 2 protagonists will want to instead enact Kratos style vengeance on Cinder.
