I'm sure the song is "Ready Steady Go". They performed it live on Music Station quite recently and I love the song! Their performance was awesome, as always! :-) I love the chorus and I can't wait to see how it matches to the visuals.
I think there's also a new ED by Yellow Generation too. I can't wait to hear/see this one too, even though I love the first ED, "Kesenai Tsumi". You can listen to the Yellow Generation clip on their official website. Pretty cool. |

L'Arc-en-Ciel. The Legendary group.
Glad that young fans still remembers 'em. Kinda' like the Queen or Bon Jovi of japan, Btw, if they decides to make Full Metal a live action,Hyde will be a perfect choice...er...height wise that is. Anyways, i'm looking forward to the song too. Definitely gonna rock and make FMA more popular. Master Ran |

Wonderful news! I've been a L'arc fan ever since I first saw GTO! Melissa is an OK OP, but to tell you the truth it's definately not one of Porno Graffiti's best works...
I'm really gonna miss Kasenai Tsumi. That's one of my favourite anime songs of all time. At least I'll still have the single... |

I remember how suprised I was when I heard the OP by Porno Graffiti. I don't remember them being involved with an anime before this (always been a fan of their music tho). Has Porno Graffiti done any other anime music? I wouldn't know, dont remember very many anime themes anyway

Well they both get a thumbs up from me. I like the chorus on the L'arc song better than Melissa. I just didn't get into Melissa like most people did. I really like the new ED too, though as far as I'm concerned Kasenai Tsumi is one of my favorite anime songs of all time, and it's going to take a heckuva lot more to dethrone it.

From visiting a couple of anime boards so far, the response to RSG has been generally on the negative side. It seems a lot of people really dug "Melissa". I love the old OP a lot as well. It definitely works with the OP's animation. I also have to admit, I was sorta humming the bass line for Melissa after the opening speech and it was a bit suprising to hear RSG's driving drum beat to start off the OP.
I guess some of the negativity has to do with not being ready for a new OP just 14 episodes into the season. I read some post comparing l'arc to "some boy band", or to a "band who can't sell" which really angered me. Im sure some of these opinions will change when people get used to the song. As for "RSG", I definitely love it. There is so much energy and the new opening animation is fantastic too (love the shot of the various state alchemist doing there thing). And the chorus, as the poster above stated, is just damn catchy (although i wish they used the line "kokoro wa -hashiru- ano sora no shita" from the full song) . Kudos to the anbu-keep team for their work. And for those that don't like it, please don't base L'arc on one song. They are definitely one of the better jrock bands out there. Just so much variety and general awesomeness (at least listen to Tierra or even the Ark&Ray albums for starts). There is just soooo much more than drivers high, blurry eyes, 4ave cafe, or niji. a lot more!! listening to their catalog, is like discovering a jewel with every track! (ok ill get off my L'arc soap box now). For the Die Hard L'arc fans who are dissapointed with this song as a comeback, their next single is coming up really soon ("hitomi no jyunin", which sounds more emotional, but just a guess by looking at the kanji), . And im sure there will be some suprises in store for us with the new album. Quote:
