The information regarding Yakumo's relation to Hieizan was mentioned from a conversation between Tatsuya and Kyouko @ vol.14. It came up when Kyouko asked Tatsuya to request a help from Yakumo, but Kyouko's opinion was rejected because Yakumo's participation may drag in Hieizan. And, Tatsuya believed, if Hieizan gets involved, it may end up being domestic conflict.

Your argument was baseless though. And I don't think we have confirmed the relationship of sponsor and yakumo.

His left eye is white color. It is hard to say, his look is handsome but he has graceful look. His name is Todo Aoba, 東道 青波（とうどう あおば）. Yakumo calls him, Aoba Nyûdô Kakka (青波入道閣下).
[閣下: your Excellency, it is term of respect that has been used on military generals such as Kudou Retsu and Saeki Hiromi in Mahouka.]
He is a previous owner of 4th institute and a sponsor for Yotsuba, and he also sponsors other political figures.

*Added name in both English and Japanese, but it needs to be checked.
**入道閣下 is a little tricky; 入道 has two meanings: 1. a person who becomes a Buddhist monk. 2. a person who shaves head and wears cloth similar to a monk. And, this is the first time for me to read this phrase, "入道閣下".
***入道, Nyûdô is the title that is being used to a general who becomes a monk. The best example is 武田晴信入道信玄 (Takeda Harunobu Nyûdô Shingen), it is the name that Takeda Harunobu used after he shaved his head and gained the status of monk while governing his land.

This is not the best translation.

Well u checked my previous posts I had a theory about how Yotsuba was connected traditional magicians because of its history and I made lot of connections about yakumo involvement with Tatsuya and I steppleshase vol yakumo asked who delivered puppets magicians to kudou and I linked sponsors intentions of catching Zhou in the next volume.
I had discussions with TrueAlchemist in this very forum about Yotsuba connection with ancient magicians and yakumo, after finding out about the blind monk he agreed with my theory

Retsu's eyes are black. It's probably not anime original since Kana was the character designer in the anime though it's never been highlighted in the LN AFAIR. Maybe he has a special vision too, I thought it was hinted that Minoru had something similar given how he countered Ghost Walker.

At 2chan, anon mentions that there is b/w illustration that shows Canopus's atom divider, but the quality of illustration is poor and claims that it is similar to unpopular doujinshi quality.
Another anon says, atom divider is similar to "Shining Finger Sword" from Mobile Fighter G Gundam. And, its length is about 700m.

Anon mentions that there is b/w illustration of Erika crying, and its quality is good.

Minoru countered ghost walker because of parade, minoru doesn't have any special eye. I don't know about retsu.
Parade is a magic that creates a disguise in the information dimension and ghost walker creates disorientation in the information, that's why Tatsuya had problems countering both those techniques

Wow, that old man so powerful even Kudou Retsu who literally older than him wouldn't be able to refuse him if he asks something.
