Episode 9

More of Hotaru and her randomness. With a mouth ulcer she still wants to eat those popping candies. Lol at her making the popping of those candies overly dramatic.

Lol who the hell was that retard with the stupid animal design for the box with an opening at its back? I mean seriously, why didn't anyone think that this design is just wrong? And I bet the person who came up with the design also came up with the name for that candy.

And then we have the oppai ice cream. Lol Hotaru's out of the blue question and Coconuts trying to act mature before giving up and saying that he loves oppai. Lol "oppai are meant to be sucked".

That was some pretty hilarious and ridiculous stuff there.

Hotaru is way too hardcore, Saya was no match. She took one blow to the psyche after another until she could take no more.

What a refined party. Even their face became more refined.

Osaka jokes never get old.

"Do you like boobs?"

Pfft, Hotaru is always asking about the most unexpected things. Coconotsu tried to act uninterested, but in the end he had to admit he's all about dem oppai.

Hilarious episode, Hotaru random antics are great as always.

do you have some kind of emotional attachment to the manga? Because I have never seen someone so worked up over some gag 10-page per chapter adaptation. If anything, the studio is fucking themselves over by not focusing on Hotaru

I wonder how important the other chapters are. I remember watching the adaptations of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun and GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class and both didn't have the impression that the chapters left behind by the anime production staff affected the continuity or the established relationships of the cast.

not really, IIRC they never really made any references to the chapters with the radio excercise or when he came to her house

I could be wrong though, since I skimped dozens of chapters at that time

I forget that mouth ulcers can be rather painful if they grow when eating. Experienced it before and it's not pleasant.

Poor Hotaru, I just want to give her a hug this episode. At least she was able to work out something with dagashi. Psychologically..? I think she broke a few times lol

I rewatched the OP for the first time since the first ep, and I realized I had completely forgotten Coconuts' goal is to become a mangaka.

What a horseshit. They expanded that mouth ulcer bit which lasted few pages into whole awful anime original episode, just to make director's boring waifu into episode, because they run out of chapters with her. And it's noticeable since she was completely useless in this episode, Saya in manga was never in the mansion, whole her and Hotaru skinship is also anime original. I wonder why sponsors allowed this shit episode to air when it's basically bad publicity for cheap snacks using main mascot. Not to mention that Hotaru's not wanting eat dagashi was out of character.
Only one bit was taken from manga, mixture that she drank was from chapter 16 and it tasted awful there.
