It is not really pushing the "moe" envelope ... though I guess the adaptation could take that angle of things. The source material is another issue. Edit: here is an ANN link with a little more about the series http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...v-anime/.91134 No cast announced yet, but there are a few nice images from the manga at the above link....

Yes indeed, for those interested there is also a short being released this season as well named "Flying Witch Petite".
Cute and heartwarming snippets to simplistic CGI animation, not bad. Edit: Ep 01 Perfect! Just ... absolutely ... perfect! Brilliantly done! Even the teensy little differences they sprinkled into the narrative made perfect sense and helped augment it. It was lovely and delightful, and I am sooooo glad my most anticipated series for the season delivered in spades. Insta-followed.

Episode 1:
Wow, that was great, got everything I had anticipated and expected. It maintained the atmospheric setting quite well while there's chemistry between the characters already. Then, there's a feeling of nostalgia about Makoto when she returned to town. I like the parts with the magic too including the flying broomstick and pulling of the mandrake. Chito is an adorable cat too to supplement the witch theme. Definitely looking forward to this show every week!

I won't lie, this was my most anticipated show this season (along with Bakuon). After watching this episode, it did not disappoint. This would be the show that I would go and chill out and simply enjoy the simple good-hearted humour this show brings.
