As long as they didn't make her into another Mary Sue, we'll OK..

And I'm expecting more interaction between witches and the ground crews..(ala Macross/Sky Girls)

I must admit that I didn't really liked "no talking to witches" policy..

I think it goes hand in hand with otaku wanting less mature, "safer" stories. And for them, that means no legitimate male characters. Much less bad-ass old men, like the semi-official doujinshi by Nogami Takeshi often featured.

Crane and squirrel... they really want to point out who's who as far family relations go, it seems.

A crane eh? Well, the night patrol officer in the movie was an owl (I think?) So why not a few more avian themed soldiers?
