I cant imagine a series like this woud've gotten very far 3 or 4 years ago. The success of DxD was huge for this industry of games

But then again, there were other harem stories that existed around/before DxD, so perhaps it was just a shift the interest of readers as a whole(referring to the Japanese readers here.)

That stigma was inaccurate. Its not that harems didnt have stories its that it lacked anything outside of get harem member A B C. The story was the harem.

The problem was a lack of "quality" ZNT Kampfer IS and others like that were incredibly poor. Maken ki is also in that grouping. How ZnT got 4 seasons is beyond me. But most harems were incredibly stale. I mean the only harems early on that were solid were the Tenchi Muyo series and many people forget those.

When I watch ZnT for the first time, I thought the series was really good, one of the best series I've ever read. But now that I already know about true harem and carnivore MC, I can't just go back to that anymore.

I only read until volume 5, but from the image, her arc still continue in 7.
