Okay, I do have to admit the showrunners throwing the funnies at the people who spent time harassing writers and creating up theories on why Pyrrha fate was not real WAS funny.

And the bit with Ruby and the cape was hilarious.

Otherwise, I am still quite meh about this whole rwby chibi thing. Most of times it has maybe one sketch that works and all others being meh.

I think the Phyrra skit wasn't that good, actually. The one with Zwei and Blake scared of Weiss and the vacuum was hilarious.

As for the character designs... Yang seems *way* older. Actually, so does Weiss. Ruby doesn't seem any different. Now, I know they're character sketches and not animation, but... Ruby and Blake kinda seem like they should, but Yang and Weiss seem much older. I wonder what they'll be animated like, if there's "improvement" in the animation.

Well Blake is living the hard life and Yang's on perpetual bed rest so... yeah...

It's been confirmed of course that there's a time skip, but supposedly not a lot, so I assume a few months to less than a year.

That's probably a fault of the (new) character designer.
Anyway, Volume 4 is supposed to be the first season rendered on Maya instead of Poser.
We'll see if the transition to a new program helps the show greatly.

I hope they show some pre-production notes like before.

RWBY Chibi is done in Maya as well, so aside from the chibification you can imagine it would be somewhat similar.

Mojojoj did the art for Chibi and AFAIK not on volume 4, but you can probably imagine it looking somewhat like this:
