This! But i also agree the last episode was better regarding the story telling and direction. Especially the second half of the episode! One can only hope they will keep improving it because Berserk deserves the very best a studio can offer!

BTW, I felt it strange that nobody commented their thoughts on the whole King's death by the end of that episode. Too much beating around the bush that I would have preferred the animators concluding episode three with Griffith's and the Hawks reappearance. P.S. Still, Farnesse is heck of annoying and wimpy. To Sheba, Thanks a lot for your historical comments and knowledge, as well as your comments on the whole Berserk storyline. Right now, I'll first watch this whole new show, then later will move on watching the Golden Arc films, and, lastly, I will start picking-up the manga. As fellow fans, can't we have enough of Berserk. |

Episode 5
Not bad, they adapted some of the torture scenes well although the sex scene between Jerome and Luca was awkward because of the CGI. Meanwhile, I think she refers to Casca as Elaine and yes, of course there's a story behind that brand on her body. Good action this episode. Guts taking care of business as usual with his big sword while Isidro looks in awe.

Episode 05
It was a good episode this week for me, better than the previous episodes again. I don't think I’ve said it during the 1st episode but Isidro's VA is doing a good job with him. The fights against the Kushan and the ghosts on wheels were not bad. There was almost no [CLANG] during those fight and during the whole episode I think, i was surprised. It looks like they've really fixed it now or maybe is it Godo who did a really good job at improving the Dragonslayer during the last episode ? . The scene between Farnese and Mozguz was a bit different from the source material but it worked well imo. It makes him more imposing. I have the impressions they’re improving with each episode too. Skullknight in the next episode!! This season is confirmed to end after 12 episodes: http://www.wowow.co.jp/pg_info/wk_new/010825.php We still don't know if there is really a second cour like it was announced by the Germany's Universal Pictures or not. New titles: #10 Hell's Angels (ヘルス・エンジェルス) #11 Shadows of Idea (イデアの影) #12 Those who Cling, Those who Struggle (すがるもの、もがくもの) |

Thanks for the episode titles Dragonria. Man, episode 12's gonna be packed, there's a lot of material they need to animate to conclude it properly, barring some cuts.
Good episode. Surprised they mostly kept the torture scenes intact, it was pretty nasty. Isidro and Puck are hilarious. Luca is really smart, I love the way she shared the pearls and their earnings with the refugees so they didn't resent them. She also has some sympathy for Farnese. Nina is really pitiful. Ahhhh, Mozgus lol. "Your baby was practically dying, and I'll help, but hey, you did a minor sin so you get the shit tortured outta you. Sorry gal, just doing God's work. It's an ordeal, you'll overcome it, I'm sure!!" Last edited by Ryuga; 2016-07-29 at 12:27. |

In general, this arc's very good at exploring that mindset. |

Those ghost are made of ectoplasm high on iron (very healthy ghosts, indeed) so yeah, when Guts crush them you can guess what a good lifestyle(?) they have by the tone of the clang they given.
As for Colette ... mhhhhh... welll...... maybe the DS crushing the weapon she used plus said healthy ghost possessing her body at that moment?

Maybe Space Dandy was correct about nipples not being important and that only hips count Last edited by Mad Pierrot; 2016-07-29 at 20:05. |

I wonder how Casca survived so far with the cursed mark. Who protected her from the demons? Never though of that before... only after the prostitute girl mentioned her mark
Next episode will probably answer my question! Censorship logic! I no longer try to understand it or else i would go insane..lol. But i have to say, no nipple boobs are scary as fuck! It would be better if they just refrain of actually showing it by using different camera angles. As it is right now it's just weird! But since the anime is already ruined with that ugly cgi i guess it's not such minor change that would make any difference |
