Yea, that actaully looks like something and much better than that abomination of a Vivid. At least they're trying something new as opposed to more generic moe dispensing.

But pretty apathetic either way.

Eh, this could potentially be pretty good. If anything we have lacked credible drama in any of the Nanoha adaptations for a while now, so this could be a breath of fresh air. Consider me sold for the time being.

As long as they don't pull something stupid excuse to make "evil guys are evil!" there shouldn't be a problem.

Looks like this might be what Vivid, and more specifically, Einhart's situation, should've been: rehab through sports that doesn't get resolved in a single episode Just from that preview you can tell, or at least get the feeling, this girl ain't gonna get all chummy with Vivio and crew right off the bat (which should help give any character development more impact), and if you add the personal stake of having a "friend" to protect (something way closer to the first seasons' feel than any Belkan reincarnation stuff), I think this might be giving the magical sports thing what it needed: a reason for the audience to care. Also, props for giving it a darker feel right off the bat. Some might think it excessive, but I enjoy that its different from vivid's "everything is super duper fine" atmosphere.

So more of a side story instead of a sequel?

And I like it. New heroine looks quite good and the animation level is appropriate. OP of cause is not Nana Mizuki level but still good.

So it's a ViviD sidestory rather than a sequel. I like the concept of having the main character be engaged in dirty street fighting that not even Einhart got into, can't wait to see what her story is.

Judging by the description it takes place 1 year after ViVid (and 1 year before Force).

I whole heartily agree with you. At least they are trying to mend the issue with vivid and knowing them they can pull it off. When I think of sequels to nanoha this is what I thought of. However we will have to wait and see.

Good or bad, I hope this works out well enough for them. Because if this succeeds, this franchise will be able to make a transition away from specific characters and still prosper. A franchise that reaches this stage can continue indefinitely.
Precure is the prime example for magical girl series. Another would be Gundam.
But the future of the Nanoha franchise may be more like Macross than Precure or Gundam.

I wonder what the new name (of the franchise, not this series) will be?

Good point especially since we are on a world with magic and futuristic tech which at this stage allows multiple stories to unfold.

It look like the main character start on Earth. Also is the girl she protecting Illya from Fate/Stay Night? They look so alike.

The song is too high pitched for that BAMF lead, although I'm not sure how much star power Vivio and Einhart have with the potential to overshadow her. Maybe Seven Arcs should scrap this entirely and make a new franchise

I dunno why my post got moved, since I'm discussing newly posted information from Vivid Strike official site.
But whatever.

THat is a worrying thought. It is one of the things I have feared as each new series is added. like honestly how much dose nanoha and other characters overshadow thoma in force. However I have faith that it won't happen. However we will have to wait and see.
