What was up with that black magic thing? And it was hinted as early as volume 5 according to Maki. Plus the whirlpool that finished off Tayuma in the end. Are we seeing a sign of an enemy bigger than anyone else? Maybe something on the scale of the Goddess of Dawn if it can interfere with magic like that that even Maya said it was from a higher dimension. And it all boils down again to the issue of the room and where its magic is coming from since Maki noted the similarity to it.

I have some issues imagining most of the fights with that black hound. Don't think it's the translation but the details of the narration are somewhat vague that I can't form a clear picture in it. The movements of the O-hime, the attacks and counterattacks, the final blow. I dunno, I can't explain it well right now but I find it easier to imagine the fights in works like say, Campione than in here. Maybe this is not Takehaya's specialty but I haven't read any of his other works to form an opinion.

The epilogue was really great though. Kiriha is really my favorite girl of the series and this just seals the deal. Koutarou's gonna get invaded. And we're getting a beach volume next. Should be fun since they have more people now.

I love and hate at the same time how it's left to our imagination if Koutarou and Kiriha kissed or not.

Also, all the tease but we don't have an illustration for Kiriha's swimsuit in the next volume. >.>

Anyway, even though I'm not that interested in the battle part of Rokujouma, it was still cool.

Volume 17 seems to be a SOL volume (from the illustrations) so I'm really looking forward to it!

Tayuma mentioned that the whirlpool used the phrase "A reaction to the alteration of the principle of causality" and whenever that phrase is used it often means "Someone went back in time, changed the past, and now it's causing some sort of issue". So maybe it means Koutarou and Clan's adventures in the past are having some sort of consequence.

And regarding the O-hime, since it looked like a small ship that relied on acceleration and maneuverability rather than simply having fast cruising speed, I imagined it to fly like a R-Type.

A bee would be a more fitting comparison, maybe.

Well, from the illustration, it looked short and wide rather than long and sleek for me.

And if we go by your comparison, I find it difficult to imagine Koutarou climbing up to the nose of the aircraft and stand there, even with gravity boots on or something.

So...

1- So... this was Koutarou's first kill? I mean, yes it was a monster, but inside it was still Tayuma, even though that black whirlpool finished him of, Tayuma was already a ghost.

2- WTF is that whirlpool thing? It wasn't just an attack, it could even talk.

A reaction to the alteration of the principle of causality? Replenishing expended energy? Don't tell me that. That has nothing to do with me

So I googled it, the principle of causality is actually "Cause-Effect" so I don't really get why the whirlpool said it, but if I focus on the "Replenshing expended energy" part, I could guess it meant that Tayuma actually had so much power, the universe had to re-take it.

But still, I don't really get it, there's something interesting going on, Maki said something interesting about the power Tayuma had.
