one thing I understand is that this is comedy novel with action as spice not the other way around, seeing that the author just build a climax chapter with Elisa vs Gria , then trowing joke chapter about Edwards Belt (gender bender curse item )

better treat it as Chinese version of Shinka no Mi but with deeper character development and relationship, with so much parody/reference from other chinese or japanese media, i only know some reference like from Kungfu Hustle , Doraemon, Fate if it's from other chinese novel i wouldn't know about it if not from the translator

Following current trend, it would be hillarious if xiao hong or adam giving insight that roland actually secretly love margaret then it would become four-angle Love between Adam > Lisa > Roland > Margaret > Adam LOL , that would be hillarious at the same time sad and pitifull

he went to a surface with his Dark Elf holy knight

The country is currently ruled by a Princess(She has a twin but being hide from public, not quite sure from MT )
When he see princess appearance... Roland & Co. surprise the resemblance between him and the princess

First thing's first, I have to first reiterate Roland's end goal: Preventing the destruction of the world by the 7 Calamities/Trials.

One of those Calamities was the invasion of the Surface by the Underground. By the time Roland regains his body, he would have managed to mostly unite the Underground under an Alliance with Sulfur City/Annie in the center (basically the quest completion gave him enough points to revive/reincarnate). Since there's basically not much more Roland can do Underground anymore, the next step is the Surface.

Upon reaching the surface (with a party including Diana and Momo the Drow Paladins as well as his "Gentleman's Alliance"), Roland hears of the East Mist Kingdom, which claims to be the remnant/successor of Mist (Roland's Kingdom that he was prince of back when he was alive). Said East Mist is currently being ruled by the Knight Princess Raynie.

Upon seeing Raynie, Roland finds that her face is identical to his. This, coupled with the fact that her primary advisor/attendant is an old friend of his back when he was a prince (she's an elf, so she's still alive), convinces Roland that East Mist's claim of succession is legitimate, even if Roland's not sure if Raynie is descended from him or his twin brother Karwenz (he's pretty sure that Raynie is Karwenz's descendant, what with him still a virgin and Karwenz always being more popular with women, but given the memory loss, he's not completely sure).

East Mist, however, is in a precarious situation, what with the nearby superpower Auland trying to annex them. The method Auland is using to holding a tournament to determine a "Knight Protector" for Raynie, which is basically a personal knight. Knight Protector has an additional connotation, however, when the person they're protecting is a noblewoman: they'd basically be the woman's hidden lover. With that publically accepted and known connotation in place, a Knight Protector for the unmarried Raynie is basically as good as her husband, and if said person, who will be the father to any future monarch of East Mist, is also a loyal knight of Auland, well... East Mist is as good as Auland's, in truth if not in name. Raynie can't exactly refuse the Knight Protector either, as Auland could pretend to take offense at the refusal (something like "What? Our best knight not good enough for you or something?") and use that as casus belli for war.

On Roland's side, not only does he have lingering loyalty to Mist, and thus by extension East Mist, he also got a quest from his system for reviving Mist (with the failure punishment being gender-bending), so he's plenty motivated to interfere. He ends up ruining Auland's plan by taking the Princess' place during the tournament (same face, so a bit of cross-dressing is all it took) and, through a number of actions, ended up taking a woman who happens to be the runner up in the tournament as "her" Knight Protector via the excuse that "she" liked women, not men (even swearing by the holy light, thus guaranteeing truth. This ends up starting Raynie's reputation as the Lily/Yuri Princess). The King of Auland does figure out that Roland wasn't actually Raynie, but he made his own conclusions that Roland (he still thinks Roland's female) is Raynie's twin, just like the famous Twin Princes of Mist Roland and Karwenz.

Even after that, Roland's still not done, since even with that crisis averted, the fact is that East Mist was too weak, otherwise they'd never have been in a circumstance where a large kingdom like Auland would have tried to annex them in the first place. Thus, one of Roland's plans is to revive the Aurora Knights corps of the old Mist Kingdom, which is a knights corps that, via their own methods, can regularly produce Gold ranked knights, where by comparison, Auland's elite knight corps can only produce Silver ranked knights.

On Auland's side, the King of Auland wasn't dealing with any devils or anything like that. I'm not sure where the whole "The king sacrifice countless people for some rare item from the devil" thing came from, unless you're talking about the Astrologer Tower, which is an evil group of seers with a major grudge against Mist and Roland. Even then, there weren't exactly any human sacrifice involved there... They soon have their own problems via an invasion of the ocean-folk.

While Auland's busy with being invaded, Roland and Raynie heads back up north to develop East Mist, with Roland putting his knowledge, resources, and contacts to work towards reviving Mist back to it's old glories.

Alright, with new editors come new changes. This is so as to make the translations more accurate. As this is my first work, I didn’t really start out well and many terms aren’t as exact as I want them to be. So… Here is the edit log. My editor will gradually edit the chapter upwards down to standardise but til then, it will only be reflected in the future chapters

There're dark dwarves but they are native Underworld. People living in Sulfur're exiled, most from Surface.
4.Mening(roaring wind) is Beast Hunter. Beast Tamer is fine too. But he's master in his job so they called him Beast hunter king. And he did more than just "hunting".
Beast hunter Mening( pervert beati***ty) was used in many novels. I don't know why. You'd better asked a Chinese.
