Spoiler for Spoiler Reasoning for Michi's Mom's: Kuro-papa was the younger one in the relationship. He was the little brother always trying to catch up to his onee-san when they were younger. But what happened is after they had kids and grew up, he matured (Contrary to how he portrays himself). He changed into someone who did his own thing, from the little brother who was chasing after the onee-san. The love between Michi-Mama and Kudo-Papa waned. It died out. Hence she went and had an affair. What she wants is to feel like she's needed. I do appreciate the purpose of this in the story. It's a reminder to Yoshida of the harsh reality that love is not eternal. It can fade. It can change. The girls may love him now, but the future is uncertain.
