just wondering but what would you guys recomend for e-2 farming ? i dont care to deplete the tp gauge i just want to s rank the boss and get that new dd drop before i go clearing the map

I'll just ask before I do something stupid -- as a beginner, what I should be doing is farming E-1 on easy until I get all the special ships, then switch to normal, cheese the boss bar with submarines, then switch again to easy for E-2... right?

I wouldn't recommend doing normal whatsoever unless you really want the rewards

I am starting to think it might come me overall cheaper to go south and use Yamashiro with a proper setup instead of one of the CAVs.
The Kamikaze's and Fumizuki are horrible to get through there and proper damage really seems to be missing from thimy fleet anyway.
Plus I copuld use proper destroyers.

Or going with a CTF instead - No idea how much it would actually effect the Gauge reduction though.

E-2 Farming can be tough but CTF or TCF can get the job done im running TFC for farming about 80% of getting S Rank without bringing Drum barrels or Daihatsu.

For over kill CTF

but not recommended if your a poor ttk without rsc and ship to use in E-3

Well, that's a theoretical yes. But if everything goes well, you only ever need 2 Saiuns to clear the transport gauge. Hell, i just completed mine just now and all it took was a single run.

Also, I-13 and I-14 are apparently 3-slot submarines, awesome.

After 4 failed attemps at E-2 I'll switch to normal CTF with daihatsu DD on escort instead of relying on transport. My sanity is flipping.

K so you are basically going south route - I go north route.

I just tested btw and its substaincially easier to go without drums. - Even my nun remodeled Kamikazes suddenly have a use. (medium diff btw)

my Kamikaze-class ship is still lvl 1 i cant use it XD on my last gauge clear but RNG is not with me right now getting taiha at node G and J

Apparently using the Kamikaze's and Fumizuki + 1 CAV + Yamashiro (FAst) + Mogami
+ 2nd Fleet: Kumano, Suzuya, Bucky, Ayanami and Shigure will give Let you go

C-F-I-J-K-M

Finally managed to beat that goddamn E-3E... for an Easy map, it really wasn't once Last Dance set in even with the debuffs in place. I had to shuffle around equipment like crazy to get the best firepower out of everyone (including putting 2 of my named Type 52's in LBAS in order for me to get AS instead of AP). Getting last dance was much, much harder than last event, which would be as expected given the lack of Crossroad power

Still, at least I got both I-14 AND I-13 out of it, so it's everything's great.

Now to move on to E-4 and Teruzuki farming...

dumb question but... Do the two jets count as Dive bombers for Support fleets?
You kow because they still got their original color.

A better question would be why are you putting Shoukaku or Zuikaku K2 in support fleet.

For when you can't use both in an optimal fleet I guess, for example in E-3 where going STF will get you routed the long way around.

If you have the ammo and fuel to spend, having Shoukaku and Zuikaku in support exped might be nice, especially with jets.
