I have generally negative feelings of Netflix
Netflix, for those of you who don't know, does not release episodes on a weekly basis. They release them in batches. So you could have months of drought when the US version is dozens of episodes behind the Japanese release. This being a movie mean it should not matter much, but what if this has enough interest to be a TV series one day? This Godzilla project seems to have several incarnations. Shin Godzilla was pretty bleak... we'll see!

- Have all the characters desperately try and brutally fail to destroy Godzilla to win back the earth.
Then at the end, the characters realize Godzilla is alone--it doesn't have anywhere to go, as it's actually the earth's way of repairing itself to make it livable again. And if humanity defeats Godzilla they realize they're dooming their own survival. ...or something like that. I dunno. I haven't had much sleep the past 48 hours

None of the trailers for this new film have impressed me so far, but then again JP couldn't cut the Shin Godzilla trailers to be interesting to save its life and that turned out to be excellent. And yeah this G really does resemble the 2014 variant down to the head-to-body gigantism
