So am I, in the sense that right up to the last word spoken even, with that exit on Tadaima, they provided a fitting ending for the story they told.... but I am nevertheless curious about what happens next...

My copy of the soundtrack came in today. The anime is one of my favorite animes, so the soundtrack is also one of my favorites. Im really impress with the quality of sound and the livelyness of the instruments.

Just finished watching this, I started watching after the season ended.
I'm really enjoying this anime.

I'm really fond the gap between bizarre thing (dragons and how they thought of human) and how the dragons living everyday together with human this anime (or manga) presents.

I usually watches the (shounen or seinen) shows that fills the difference of values with fight or power, but in this show shows the "message" that one could find the compromise within difference of values with some mutual understanding, especially the last episode how Kobayashi solved between Tohru and her father (not that it's really solved but at least it avoided the clash between family).

PS: Somehow I like this lyrics of ending
"How inferior and foolish these values are,
I won't pass ethical judgment and say it's not okay."

Those lines somehow ringing a lot in my head

It sounds silly, but one thing they get very right in this show is making the dragons properly draconic. I seen far too many fantasy stories were there mere fire breathing lizards, but here there pretty much demi gods in power.

I went in expecting nothing. Heck, I didn't even know it was a KyoAni production until the most cynical and jaded Grognards bitched about how it is yet another cynical plot by KyoAni to manufacture memes.

However, what I found was a soothing anime that made my days after work more enjoyable. I also have a great dislike for Monmusu genre (my days of GM master and D&D player makes me wary of monsters, even females), but Maid dragon showed it can be done right.

I gonna miss Maid dragon Tuesday so much.

I've read the manga, and there doesn't appear to be much material for a second season.

The manga is ongoing. Not that that is a guarantee there will be enough material in the future or that it well be adapted even if there is at some point ... but... well... I don't mind waiting... and the first season seems to have been well received....

The website for KyoAni's next event is up. Interestingly Touru joined the other characters who mostly are either from KyoAni novels or KyoAni had financial stakes in. So it just double confirmed that KyoAni at least was a part of the production committee, and that they are not just contractors.
