"A Perfect Fake" - Documentary on life-sized doll collectors
You've probably seen those life-sized anime dolls already, but pictures are nothing compared to seeing it on video, and the kind of guys who are deluded enough to even own them in the first place.
Clip 1 Clip 2 Clip 3 Clip 4, with excerpts on the "PENIS-TRON". lol Japan. If you want the whole thing, it's not hard to find a torrent on Google. |

The last two are flagged as 18+ and require you to sign in. Good thing... I don't think I want to see the last two clips, especially that 4th one... Some things are best left unknown...
Anyway, while I don't see anything wrong with collecting such things, that guy seems a bit disturbed to me. I guess it isn't uncommon to personify objects, but he takes it to a level that's just wrong. It's almost like he sees them as real people. Though it's always possible the makers of that documentry editted it to make him look like more of a freak than he really is. I've seen plenty of biased documentries before, so I'm always a bit skeptical of them.

This is a rather hilariously disturbing piece of stop motion animation by a fellow B3ta.com contributor (his web-site is nifty as well).
-> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3S3Txsl2vs Here's a GIF from it to give you a flavor of the full animation at YouTube (it’s only about 1:30 in length). |
