I sometimes go through a new restaurant's menu and pick a few items that I might be interested in over weeks, but after that I tend to settle on a favourite.

It's absolutely fine if a handful of the characters always get the same thing, especially the long time patrons. But I do think the narrative would be more well-rounded if some of the newer (especially younger) customers started branching out a bit. Granted, as I said, I'm aware they're going for a certain type of comedy here. (That and the LN could probably only cram but so much information into each chapter/volume.) So it wasn't a complaint or even a certain expectation, just an amusing observation on my part.

W-whoa.
I ... uhh ... was not expecting dark haired elf girl to be THAT. Unexpected. But I like it. This was another nice episode - and I esp liked the (brief) interaction between Alphonse and Kuro. ^^

She's pretty nice for a dragon of death. But I wonder if she couldn't have gotten money some other way. With her magic. Turn coal into diamond or something.
I also wonder what it means for Ebi Fry that Alphonse used "his" door. Did he have a horrible surprise when he tried to come? |

That was a good move. Kuro is pretty likable from what we've seen so far. Can certainly feel for her situation. Basically having to banish herself or continue killing off anything around her. Nice at least that no one actually pushed her to do that. The waitress solution probably works in a few ways. It is a good way for someone who has been isolated for an incredibly long time to socialize. If she was just hanging around as a customer she'd probably just eat the whole time . Could be a good chance for her to chat a bit with the chef and Aletta.
The obvious comparison to Alphonse was clear and makes sense that they shared this episode. Loved seeing the one guy who could tell what she was just freaking the hell out . I'm kind of interested in seeing if any other customers can figure it out and how they'll respond being served by a death dragon . In the end a pretty likable addition to the cast.

Also, please relax Aletta. You're part of the family, and you're an excellent waitress. There's no way he would fire you.

Kuro being a dragon and that background of them looks like a nice story, but well it was nice of aka explaining things to her and talk to the owner to hire her, I think the threat was unnecesary, she seems kind.

I think Aletta overreacted. But....I can understand why she reacted that way.
It's hard getting a good job with decent people around, even in modern times. Kuro's got a massive appetite. I think she must have ate an entire resturant's worth of chicken curry rice... |

Kuro definitely doesn't have the personality one who expect a death dragon to have. It takes strength to isolate yourself from everyone else, but she was willing to do it.
The restaurant has a new member, but I'm wondering how the customers will react towards their new waitress. I imagine there might be some freaking out.

along with her 'making preparations' anyone else feel that if her death aura would leak out, it wouldn't affect the patrons or the chef since that's part of the package?
The chef steps in when there's too much arguing, but he doesn't bat an eye when any new comers draw their sword at him. And even if they calm down, there's no guarantee. I feel if there was anyone with malice intentions or danger, they would just get expel'd out of the resturant automatially before anything actually happens.

Also, Kuro is adorable. Possibly the nicest death dragon I've ever seen. |

**** To other matters mentioned, I am kind of of the same opinion as those who mentioned that Kuro was reigning in her death miasma/whatever it was, but I also guess that doing so while keeping the transformation into an elf (maybe she chose that form because she saw that those were the first beings she was unintentionally disintegrating and remembered them especially?) may be something she cannot do for a long period of time, or perhaps it could even be uncomfortable somehow? All speculation of course. ^^

When she looked through the door using her magic, she assumed that the people on the other side were elves with unnaturally short ears. So that's why she took the form of an elf when she entered the door; she only knew of elves and don't know of any other race to transform into.
