On PTR right now:
New Arcade Game Modes: Deathmatch (8-player free-for-all, first player to 20 points wins) and Team Deathmatch (4v4, first team to 30 points wins). They're played on modified versions of existing maps as well as a completely original Deathmatch map: Chateau Guillard. Junkrat: -Concussion mine now has 2 charges -RIP-tire is now 30% faster, can now wall climb indefinitely Orisa: -Primary fire now has 20% faster projectiles. -Barrier is now 20% larger and has had its shape changed to better protect from enemies lower than the barrier. Roadhog: -Now takes 50% less damage when using his heal and he can move while using it. Widowmaker: -Grappling Hook CD down to 8 seconds (from 12) -Targets hit by her Venom Mine are visible to Widowmaker (and only her) though walls. Last edited by Tokkan; 2017-08-10 at 23:27. |

Haven't seen the glitch in Lucioball where people were able to get a non-Lucio character this year. But I've seen a couple of blatant aimbots, a ton of people afking/intentionally losing and a couple of matches where the ball fell through the pitch, so the match was reduced to boost jumping to avoid being booted. The amount of people going in green/unfamiliar with how to play it is also annoying.
That said, it has been fun overall to have it back.

The problem with riptire wasn't the wall climb. It was the fact that everyone in the damn map hears it coming and everyone splits up to avoid group kills or to better place and kill the tire. Also weren't they supposed to partial nerf the concussion damage to compensate the 2 charges?

So... I'm glad that Blizz is getting tough on quitters and griefers. Maybe now I can take competitive seriously again. For some reason I always attracted these kinds of type in MM whenever I was on the cusp of either demotion or promotion. When I was on the cusp of demotion to Silver and Bronze, I would go on a losing spree and guaranteed my demotion because HALF the games had a griefer or a quitter. Likewise in the last 2 seasons, I was stuck on 1480+ because EVERY SINGLE ONE of my potential promotion matches had a quitter, then I bounce around until I get back there, and then ANOTHER quitter.

Undocumented change but currently on the PTR the hitbox on Doomfist's rocket punch has been greatly reduced in size so Doomfist players will need to be more precise in their aim.
They also added a "Match" voice channel (AKA "all chat") to the FFA deathmatch in the same PTR update that nerfed Doomfist's hitbox. |

New payload map "Junkertown" revealed, as well as a special short contributed by Terran Gregory and a few others from the World of Warcraft Cinematic team to promote it. A proper animated short is also being revealed on Wednesday. Edit: They are currently testing a rework of D.Va. The missiles might be enough to offset the DM nerf. In that even though it lasts a shorter time, if she can output damage while the DM is active it would force the attacker to back off. Because without it, an attacker would just keep firing until the DM runs out.

Season 6 changes: -Season length is now 2 months instead of 3 months. -You'll be getting smaller end of season CP rewards as a result of the shorter season, but winning matches will reward more CP. -SR decay is now -25SR instead of -50SR and you will only need to play 5 matches a week to prevent it instead of 7. -Control maps will now be Best of 3, same as in quick play and in the pro scene. -Placement matches will no longer undershoot your initial SR for the season; you will be placed where you should be. -Higher tier matches will be more balanced, but queue times will be longer. |

I never hated Mei.... I hated being frozen in place and shot in the head with an icicle.
Luckily that never actually happened. Remember kids... Mei never would do such a thing. And Reaper and 76 would never fight together in a team... everything happening in all these matches is just a dream or something.

New PTR is out.
Mercy Rework: Resurrect is now her E ability, only revives one teammate. No longer provides invulnerability to Mercy. Range is now 5m. Very long cooldown (30 seconds). New Ultimate Ability: "Valkyrie" temporarily enhances her abilities and gives her the ability to FLY. Lasts 20 seconds. Valkyrie's effect is: -Healing and damage boost beams now affect all teammates around the targeted teammate, range of beam also increased. -Pistol has infinite ammo, faster rate of fire and more damage. -Guardian Angel has longer range and faster speed. -Resurrect's cooldown is immediately refreshed upon Valkyrie's activation, and for the duration of Valkyrie is reduced to 10 seconds. -Hover is replaced with actual flight with faster movement speed. -Passive health regeneration is not interrupted by damage.
