^^ Yep, a while ago I thought it's about time I recommend this one.
It's interesting series with quite a few unexpected turns. His sister is the kind of heroine you rarely see and till the part I have read they even manage some nice progress in their relationship. Hard to say whether it's gonna go harem or single heroine route It looked like it's gonna go the single heroine route at one point, but that got a bit iffy a bit later.

I have mixed feelings about authors disabling comments on their works.
A merit is the author doesn't need the motivation of comments to keep writing and you don't have to worry about him jumping ship because of a bad comment or two.
On the bad side, sometimes it can be fun or informative to read comments (both on the uncommon side but whatever) and there's not really a place to discuss or comment on it.

Looks like some fun drama is about to begin in 暇人、魔王の姿で異世界へ again, for anyone who actually reads it.

Our barely-holding-down-the-breaks angry protagonist is actually working on trying to settle things peacefully for once. Protagonists with anger issues can be fun sometimes; at the very least very emotional protagonists are generally really fun.
But one of his two old friends seems torn on siding with him or protecting the nation she help build from our protag, and the other seems to still respect our protag a lot but seems unnaturally determined to stop him.

Although of course this is a stupid idea, since the first friend (Daria) knows that trying to convince the protagonist through defeat is utterly pointless because he simply doesn't give up or let go of a grudge.
It's hinted that the first elf king has some sort of hold on the second friend (Shun), though. It was mentioned way earlier on that he has an Alt character like the protagonist does and it's likely that the elf king is utilizing that. Daria seems to suspect something but has nothing concrete. She also began to mention a name we don't recognize, which considering the context was probably his alt character from the game days.
Seems like he's been putting a guilt trip on Daria too, since the white-hair elf stuff and its propaganda was all his doing, when we got to see earlier that Daria thought it was somehow her fault since their births always matched up with when she 'woke up.'

Daria seems to want to maintain neutrality despite being forced into their operation to trick and subdue the protag (going by context Shun doesn't want to kill him regardless) so it doesn't seem like Daria will be fighting him unless Daria jumps in to help Shun or something.
I found it funny that they all just assumed the protagonist found a way to seal the final boss without Ryue maintaining it, instead of what he actually did was just kill the fucking thing a fit of anger which suits his personality way more than pushing a problem under a rug. For better or worse, the protagonist solves problems and doesn't postpone them.

From a level perspective Daria seems to be somehow three times his level, but as she seems unable to kill the two weaker bosses, how easily Shun got the upper hand on her, and how mentally unstable she was around the protaognist, odds are she wouldn't be able to take him a fight despite protag's extraordinary caution about it.

So it's gonna be a fun clash between three old friends and a mad (former) king.
Kaivon's always at his best when he lets off the breaks and goes full pissed-off mode.

But I suppose the biggest question that should be asked is if Daria is a heroine or not.
So he's a former 29-year-old male turned 10-year-old elf loli and has vomited at the idea of being romantically paired up with Shun.
She also has shown like no interest in males or females alike, but has wanted his body to mature (so she'd stop being short) and seemed to mentally regress around Kaivon, acting somewhat like a little girl a couple times.
I only bring this up because I think it'd be fucking hilarious since non-protag TS characters are rare (with TS heroines being way rarer), outside of comedy elements where they're just hilariously gay or transform back and forth.

Not that it'd matter regardless since the protagonist is already set on two women (his alt characters), and even has a third trying to wedge her way in that the protagonist does not only keep friend-zoning, but ditched her too.
So personality-wise there's no fucking way Kaivon would accept Daria as a heroine. Especially since he likes onee-san characters and it shows.
Daria does suggest that her body can grow if she overcomes her own mental issues (wanting to see Kaivon/not being able to let him go), like how Oink managed to lose weight. As unlikely as that seems at this point.

I actually see a lot of comments of people who have no idea what they're talking about.
Like something is said in the chapter, and then they question it in the comments because they skipped the part that explains it.

Two that recently come to mind is in Skeleton Knight the main heroine's mother calls her by a nickname, and one guy thought it was a typo.
Another is in Infinite Dendrogram the protagonist switched back to his Paladin job and perfectly explains that and why he did it in the chapter, but someone said the label stating his class at the start of the chapter was a typo.
Stuff like it where the reader just didn't pay attention to the material gets brought up a decent bit in comments, and then they try to ask the author about it in the damn comments for clarification.

I can't actually trust hate comments (or comments in general) unless they seem really well thought out.
Like some hate comments will be about a character experiencing development, you know, letting the reader know more about them without shoving it in your face (to let the reader brood over it). But some commenters will call that out of place and unnatural like the author should change it. You know, instead of reading and seeing where it leads.
And in other times a work will be really bad but the few comments it has will be about how fun and interesting and unique it is. Of course no actual why it is with these kinds, just shallow comments.

Informative, helpful hate comments, or critiques, are actually pretty damn rare.
At least finding the helpful ones isn't easy, being no rating system/highlight system on comments.
Since the not so helpful comments generally tend to bury the helpful ones.

Hate comments I pay attention to are mostly :
- Dumbness and Hetare-ness of the MC
- Raging about raped heroines
- Basically about characters' relations rather than correcting facts

No, she was just a really fat woman who loved eating acorns. Named oink. So he calls her a pig. Plus she always uses this one pig face emoji (´・ω・｀)
The version of her on the volume 2 cover is literally just her after a diet. It was mentioned at her introduction that her hair and skin was the same and all, she just had a lot less width.

Well, I suppose her also screwing around a lot like a mascot character helped toward her pig treatment.

Yes? to harem. There's two confirmed heroines, the above mentioned Oink is into the protag (but him not so much her. Meta logic dictates she's a heroine too though). So small harem.
Plus he meets and gets along with more girls than guys. Like he...accidentally gives one elf woman an asphyxiation fetish when he choked the fuck out of her.

No to snusnu but there's a decent bit of flirting.
As in my previous post about this series, this is because the protagonist has severe self-control issues. He's avoiding starting a sex relationship with them at the current time because he doesn't think he'll be able to control himself in the future, which is bad since that'll get in the way of shit he kinda wants to take care of. He's the type who has trouble stopping once he starts on emotion-driven tasks.
One of the two heroines has no idea what sex is (1,000 year-old clueless virgin), and the other is a carnivorous onee-san who very much wants some of that.

Overall it's pretty enjoyable. One flaw would be that there's pretty frequently moments where food becomes the focus, but this actually gets assimilated into character development and stuff with old friends and whatnot.

With narou works, if it gets put on hold for too long, it becomes harder to add it into the story
Ideally it must happen around 300k~500k
If it went past 1 M without it, little chance happening coz the avid readers now are those that is fine without it

The choices for studios to pick titles has always been rather random. Quite often popularity of a title (in both Narou ranking and book sales) don't always seem to play a significant role, so I imagine it's sometimes picked by personal choice. Re:Zero for example.
But it's very odd seeing the #1 title with huge commercial success continue to get passed up.

Edit: Eh, I have to amend a mistake. Tensei shitara Slime actually reached 2 mil without adaptation as well.

That has never stopped ANY anime adaptation from making a market decision for a vastly successful franchise.
I mean hell, neither is Smartphone or Deathmartch or Shield Hero.
