Mahou tsukai no yome (The Ancient Magus' Bride) is apparently getting a TV anime for Fall 2017. (previously had OVAs but it based on a prequel series)

Plot Summary:

Hatori Chise is only 16, but she has lost far more than most. With neither family nor hope, it seems all doors are closed to her. But, a chance encounter began to turn the rusted wheels of fate. In her darkest hour, a mysterious magus appears before Chitose, offering a chance she couldn't turn down. Just cross-posted that... I don't know if we call this verified, but I'd very much like this to be true.

If Wit put anything like the production values that went into the OVA, this would be one of the prettiest TV anime ever.

Oh yeah!!
Not boarding on the hype train until I know the studio / staff. The ova wasn't as good as the original manga.
At least keep it away from wit, they'll be crashing AoT s2's production on their own anyway.

Back to back snk2 - magus bride - kananeri s2. *sigh* oh WIT.
this will be a decent anime even if it just copy pasted the coloured manga panels and put voice/music over it, so not really that worried but eh I was hoping more. I'll go in cautious
Edit : Saw the latest pv, I'll take some of my negativity back because yeah this looks like it'll be more than decent.

The Mahou Tsukai no Yome anime series website http://mahoyome.jp/ is now live with content including some cast and staff info.

Broadcast will start in October this year. Blurays will come out quickly with the first 4-episode disc released on 29th November, price is (cough) 18,000 yen.

The production will have a booth at AnimeJapan2017 in Tokyo on 25th and 26th of March -- visitors can have their picture taken with Elias and Silky (but no Chise. Or Ruth. Or...).

I wasn't really that fond of the OVA at all, and I really like the manga. I'm not holding out much hope for the anime.
