5 Chinese Nationals Arrested in Japan for Translating
Manga, Games for Distribution: "The association reports that if convicted, the suspects face up to 10 years in prison, up to 10 million yen (about US$90,000) in fines, or both. The suspects could also face civil lawsuits with additional levies for damages and orders to delete files." That's why you don't pirate online in JP. Unless you have like multiple VPNs connecting to your off-shore seedbox, all paid for in Bitcoins or something. In which case you are just better off buying the stuff from the various stores that can be easily found anywhere. The laws are still fucked as shit though....total misplacement of priorities

Powerball winner sues for anonymity over $560m jackpot
They should really allow Lottery winners to be anonymous to protect their privacy since i once read a lottery winner was killed by some stranger who knew his name and wanted his money

This Guy Tried to Smuggle Cocaine in a Fake Butt, Cops Say:
"Police spotted the 32-year-old man as he waddled suspiciously around Lisbon's airport and stopped him for questioning, according to a police report. When they got a closer look at his tuckus, they realized that he was packing more than just a big booty. He allegedly stashed the coke in two flesh-colored cheeks that he'd rigged inside a tiny, colorful swimsuit—a bold fashion choice that might've raised a red flag on its own." What It's Like When Your Town Is Attacked By A 'Killdozer':
"On June 4, 2004 one man in a home-built tank exploded through the wall of his small- town muffler shop and went on a rampage. This "tank" was a monstrosity built from metal, concrete, and one gigantic bulldozer. In the days and months after, that man became something of a folk hero, as you'd expect, considering he had singlehandedly built an unstoppable Killdozer. Plus, as it came out, he'd sought revenge on powerful local interests who'd wronged him. The real tale is, as usual, a bit more complicated." FBI's Use of Paid Best Buy Informants Goes Deeper Than We Knew:
"Questions were raised last year about whether FBI agents were actively recruiting technicians at Best Buy’s Geek Squad to search for illegal content on customer devices. According to newly released documents, however, prior reports only scratched the surface: Best Buy’s ties with the FBI appear more complex than once surmised. The existence of the Geek Squad informants was first revealed via the prosecution of a California doctor named Mark Rettenmaier. After Rettenmaier sent his computer to Geek Squad for repair in 2011, technicians working out of a massive Kentucky repair shop discovered thousands of images depicting child abuse on Rettenmaier’s device. Court filings later revealed that there were “eight FBI informants at Geek Squad City,” and a number had received $500 to $1,000 payments in exchange for acting as confidential sources." The infamous durian strikes again.
Quote:
Durian, and its unique taste and smell, featured prominently in episode six of last season's Sora yori mo Tooi Basho. I've never had one and, to be honest, don't really want to.
