Picking up from where the last volume left off, Jio rescued the second princess Saladia and together they headed towards the demon king’s city in the red desert of death. Kamito’s group also chases after them and end up arriving in the city one way or another. In the demon king’s city is the demon king’s coffin which is said to grant his power to the one who obtains it. At the same time Lurie’s group from the holy empire also heads towards the city and even though there’s a barrier that prevents those unrelated to the demon king from entering, they summon the fire elemental lord Volcanus and destroyed the barrier.

Kamito gets sucked into the pyramid/tomb of the demon king as his successor and then learns about the previous demon king Solomon’s past (from the queen of the demon city iirc from another synopses). Solomon was a hero but because he fell in love with an elf girl who was opposing the humans he betrayed the kingdom and was arrested. He was then transformed into the demon king by the holy lord and leader of the five elemental lords Alexandros.

After hearing the story Kamito ends up battling Lurie who barged into the pyramid. Outside the pyramid, maybe because she resembles Rubia, Claire ends up attracting Vulcanus’ attention and battles the holy empire’s elementalists. Back to Kamito’s fight, Lurie loses and self-destructs alongside with the pyramid. To Be Continued…you gotta love this author’s sense of cliffhangers lol. Spoiler also mentions the holy lord may have destroyed and remade the world at one point.

Didn't you read the last volume? He rescued her because he wanted to enter the Demon King's city and prove himself the true Demon King successor.

Solomon wasn't transformed by Alexandros into the demon king; Solomon and that Elf girl, Iris, eloped and have kids, all the while Solomon was already married to the Kingdom's princess. The ppl who were jealous of him found out about this and reported to the king, who sent an army to burn down the forest they were living in, killing Solomon's kids and wife. He started a rebellion for revenge, but was captured, his throat crushed and forbidden seals carved onto his body. On the day of his execution, Alexandros reached out to him and offer him a contract; he will resurrect Iris in return for him destroying and bring chaos to the world.

Kamito tried to cut open a hole in the pyramid since there is no visible entrance. Ensues comedy moment where sword mode Est got stuck in the wall and when Kamito was trying to pull her out, the wall disappeared and he fell through.

Ellis is now stronger than Luminaris.

Volcanica is in a state of memory loss; though she still considers Rubia her important friend. Interesting, after Kamito and co left for the Demon's King city, Rubia's fire lord seal on her hand starts to glow.

Prior to Lurie's suicide attack, Kamito won the fight by severing her spirtual connections; same sword technique he used on Valersia to break the forbidden seal on her heart. This technique was an Absolute Art forbidden by Greyworth since it permanently renders the target's ability to use spirit arts useless.

Volcanica was unable to leave with Claire as she was bound by a contract, most prob Alexandros.

Solomon's remains are long gone; the pyramid was actually protecting something else that is not mentioned directly.

This volume started and ended with Est dreaming about her and Areisha.

So whats up with Solomon already being married to a princess and leaving and then eloped with Iris.

By the way why Ellis stronger than Luminaris sort of feels like an asspull on the author part even though I know she got that special training on the dragon mountain.

Don't forget that Ellis has already kissed Kamito. So, her being stronger than Luminaris after her training and kiss is not strange at all.

Given it's the if-u-do-not-want-to-die type of training and Ellis was able to release a 2nd form of her spirit weapon previous volume, I am not surprised the girls are quite powerful now.

Quite hard to say, given that we dunno whether the comparsion is done with Leonara in her normal mode; you will need Leonara and Ellis to clash out with Leonara in dragon mode to see whose boobs are big...I mean who is stronger.

In Vol 13, Kamito thought Luminaris is on the same level as Leonora, possibly superior. I think Luminaris is stronger than Leonora in normal mode and as strong as her in dragon mode.

In Chapter 2, Velsaria says that Ellis has already surpassed her. According to Vol 5, Velsaria is ranked AAA while Leonora with Dragon Blood power is ranked S.
