GW Thursday
https://twitter.com/liz_bluebird/sta...35492508803073 It appears "they" are not holding back a whole lot in these jigsaw puzzle like videos released daily. The music from the film is also incorporated in the making of videos -four so far- also hosted on the Kyoani YouTube channel. The fourth of these the first in which the song with the boy soprano, the only vocal composition, is also utilised outside the film - so far. The titular OST "track" 「Girls, Dance, Staircase」 credited to 小野豊 (Yutaka Ono) introduced as a mezzo-soprano of the 「すみだ少年少女合唱団」 (Sumida Boys and Girls choir) . But ... to say that all has been revealed would be sketching an illusion. Piecing these snippets of sounds and images together in sequence is also fun though, I think. Another Golden Week Special 「blue, silence, fragments」 - uploaded yesterday to Soundcloud - by Kensuke Ushio https://twitter.com/agraph/status/991653911831302144 As used in: 『リズと青い鳥』特報第2弾 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBkdgCvZPX0 Quote:

Making vol. 8 is quite nice, I think, for the way the footage highlights their collaboration. In its release note and in the clip itself re-emphasising once again the fusion of sounds and images. A(nother) glimpse of the stage, when and where, the sounds are integrated with the envisioned moving images. A tiny glimpse into the process of practical translation of concepts into a projectable finished product - getting the timing right in their complicated synchronisation...

News today, Kyoani celebration and week four bonus items, for those attending screenings in Japanese theatres from Saturday May 12 onwards:
http://liz-bluebird.com/news/?id=49 Have any of you seen anything about screenings taking place outside Japan to date? The only announcement I've seen so far is for the Annecy festival and that's not taking place until June... http://liz-bluebird.com/news/?id=43 https://www.annecy.org/programme/index:film-20183106 |

A little bigger than standard size Japanese postcards and without the printed text for address, "area-code" boxes and postage "stamps" etc, but the illustrated card is a bit like a postcard. The one shown the gift from second week attendance - which can be arranged alongside the first week bonus card to make one panorama like image, a slightly fantastical group portrait of the various characters and the primary settings. Annotated line art on the back.
Today, Friday March 11, the last day the third week bonus cards with reversible Mizore and Nozomi portraits will be handed out randomly - as long as their supplies last. Two different artists responsible for the design of each of the two individual cards. |
