Episode 21:
Cool, this was actually an episode that went in the direction I was expecting. The Doctor and everyone else helping Zero Two reunite with Hiro along with how she is thankful for everything. The reunion was predictable but I still liked how they handled it overall. I don't think Zero Two is dead....even though she does look braindead or perhaps lost somewhere in her hollow self. Hopefully we'll get more answers next time. Three more episodes left so they'll probably do a big climatic battle against the VRIMS soon.

Just saw episode 21, AKA: how to ruin a series in two episodes:
Step 1: introduce the borg VIRM at the last moment Step 2: have your new aliens kill almost veryone, and ruin the conflicts you set up previously. step 3: go into a very loose aesop using klaxosaur history (65 MYA event) ... Step 5: Kill off Zero Two by having her sacrifice herself overriding Strelizia and saving the world Overall, and with reference to Norse Mythology, this episode was Ragnarok; almost all of humanity is dead, and several of the cast are either dead or dying, most notably Zero-Two who is at a minimum comatose and is more likely, judging by how her horns crack at the end, quite dead short of a miracle. VIRM largely achieved its objective, which was to harvest the life of the planet for integration into itself (thus the borg reference). Next three episodes will be conflict resolution and epilogue. The problem, of course, is that by taking this route the writers have basically run the plot through to its conclusion. At best there's one or two more episodes of epilogue, but this ending has been so terribly contrived that I don't know whether or not it's worth seeing through to the end. Best bro/waifu right there. R.I.P. No, not Zero Two. Last week a lot of people called for Zero Two's death flag again as she lost so much blood, they fixed it this week with a transfusion I doubt she died at the end, probably lost all of her Klaxosaur blood/powers and fully became human. With 3 episodes left there should be a time skip and a somewhat happy ending, except for Ikuno who probably doesn't have much time left.

Ohh damn i knew it that the princess klax fused with 02 XD
100% sure her horns breaking mean she finally become a human or just straight up dead XD VIRM left the earth for now but they will be back ( season 2 XD) with 3 episode left i guess episode 22-23 will be building city simulator episode and clearing things up also returning back Mitsuru and Kokoro memory and if 02 is not dead might be some sweet time with Hiro episode 24 is happy end (for now) Last edited by Azurial; 2018-06-16 at 12:11. |

As always "wuhugm" can't separate his own delusions from reality, seems like someone failed to understand the difference between Braindead and Dead.
Anyways, just when I called it some hours before the episode this happened, Zero Two's outcome was predictable but the episode itself great despite all the crazyness and all these deaths all over the place. Snake the best companion ever, we got more info dump about the original inhabitants of the planet and what happened in the past with VIRM. The fights were great, not too long not too short either, just the right amount of time spent on it. I'm glad to see the klaxo princess reaching an understanding with Zero Two despite her initial behavior towards her and the humans, same goes for her with Hiro showing that she never was an enemy but an ally. Now we have like 3 episodes left? I guess the next developments will be finally crushing VIRM, saving Zero Two and rebuilding earth. |

In the absence of Zero Two (who is definitely not dead), I'm guessing Hiro will become the de facto leader of the Parasites and the klaxosaurs (after everything he's experienced, his transformation should be more or less complete).

1. the last time they returned it took them 65 million years. 2. there's almost no-one left alive; anyone living in the plantations is dead, forcibly integrated into VIRM, and almost all of the parasites are dead. |

I'm betting she fused with Strellzia Apath. That's why she's sitting in Apath's hand in the OP. I hope Klax Hime is still alive. (She has to help repopulate the planet somehow and Hiro is now available.)
