The author isn't dumb. He knows that if Restia's survival has always been an important plot point in the series, then putting her in the Drama CD would juts drain that tension from the final volumes.

Almost everyone knows the initial heroines will survive, as Blade Dance isn't that kind of series, but Restia has always been iffy. Her not appearing at the Drama CD is just the author wanting to preserve that ambiguousness, not really much else.

that bothers me too but the fact if we go by 3 years, most of them should be 19-20 years old and they still look the same.

Are we sure that image take place from drama cd?

To me it look more like it just some speacial illustration came with drama cd but it's not involved any event from drama-cd.

btw, if i dont mistake, then kamito told the whole event (met claire, blade dance, laurenftost, etc......) happened even not yet a year? So 3 year after, they obviously are till in academy

The translator has to translate from Chinese, so whenever the Chinese version comes out. Usually a few months after the Japanese release.
