Can't believe that one of the less important episodes was adapted in such a perfect way, if we leave aside a few details this was almost 1:1, why not doing this before with episodes that were way more important than this one and let 6 episodes be so mediocre? was Nishikori even trying with the previous episodes?
The episode was really good, Itsuwa being the cutest, Aqua being badass and Touma getting his ass kicked for once. There are a few details missing but nothing relevant that affects the enjoyment of the episode, I really hope they keep this pacing and quality the rest of the season. |

Chill out Touma fan, the scenes where Touma reach that point can be counted with 1 hand while other characters like Accel are beated even more than him. So far this season Touma vs Aqua is the only fight (for now) where he's defeated like that, not so hard to undestand right?

Accelerator in that fight got knocked unconscious with broken fingers while Touma is a bloody, battered mess. Touma obviously came out of that worse than Accel. Kanzaki pretty much dominated the entire fight once she showed up and Touma couldn't do shit to her. There is no way you can really classify Acqua's fight as anything like "for once". |

Again, try to control your anger issues, you're triggered so hard that you refuse to comprehend the reply you quoted, but what can I expect? you don't even point out to the fact that the scenes where Touma is defeated like that can be counted with one hand or that his plot armor is so conveniently huge that allows him to fight even when any other character would be completely defeated. Is nice to see Touma getting obliterated because is not a common thing, anyways is obvious you're not gonna change your mindset.

And then you backpedaled on your statement by bringing up the number of time Touma got his ass kicked can be counted on one hand and it's plot armor. The first contradict your own post earlier and the later is a new complaint not even related to what both you and I posted about. Last edited by LKK; 2018-11-16 at 12:56. And most of the time, he never was OPM. The first battle, he got an upperhand against Stylt once discovering his runes ink can be blurred with water. A victory won from trickery and good attention to details. Got his ass handed to him by Kanzaki, only stopped her with reasons. Third fight, cancelling Pendex but lost his memories in process, essentially personaility death. Fourth fight, losing his arm, discover alchemist weakness being his need for self-hypnosis, cooperation with Styl, again more attention to detail and deduction. Fifth, Accelerator, bloody mess but knocked out Accel, need to be saved from plasma ball by Sisters's effort. Sixth fight, needed help from Tsumikado to cancel Angel Fall, cooperation with Kanzaki and Tsumikado. Fight against Aztec magician, covering space with dust to prevent the light from space to reach the dagger, deduction and trickery. Agnese, cooperation with Stylt, need two punchs. Fight with OriNa, once again, coop with Stylt to double team her. Fight against Vento, deduce the function of her magic and target the right part. Fight against Terra, discover the weakness of Precedence through deduction and using the environment to his advantages. Plot armor is what kept him alive, not your delusional idea of it being some sort OP aura Touma doesn't even have. Plus, I never denied plot armor did I? Without it, Luke and Han would be killed about dozen times through out A new hope or John McClane would have died within the first 20 minutes of Die Hard being a normal cop versus well trained terrorists. But guess what, they survived on plot armor. The time he effortlessly using Imagine Breaker ALONE to finish the fight with one punch and without any kind of tactics or trickery, or even without cooperation with another ally can be counted on one hand. That isn't anything like Saitama style of fighting. You keep repeating about how I'm triggered and refuse to actually disprove any points I have made so far, instead you kept either backpedaling or changing the subject. |

As usual, Itsuwa is a best and I made another screencap album.
That being said, this was one of the best episodes of the season (not a high bar to cross, I know) in terms of adaptation. District 22 was gorgeous. The shenanigans were fun. Acqua's brutalization was...brutal. Downsides: Interlude was not adapted though that remains to be seen if it'll be left like that or be at the start of the next episode. Acqua's brutalization was not as brutal as the novels. Some scenes were absolutely cut out. Animation quality is still...eh...

This is the pace we want all along and they did it in this episode?
Still, this episode quality was really bad opposite of how they do with story But hell, they did that underground city image really good I remember read this part in novel and didn't think much about it Just thought it would like underground factory in Railgun just more space To think they would really make whole city there and there are even more floor I really need more material about Academy city

This episode was almost a perfect 1:1 adaption and covered everything I expected it to. Touma and his classmate's antics, Itsuwa being top tier wife material, Misaka worrying about Touma, and Aqua wrecking Touma.
Aqua's beatdown wasn't as brutal as the original, but it was still pretty bad. They definitely did District 22 justice though as it looks great.

Touma getting beaten is as common as Conan finding a murder, it's just this time he couldn't get away with a victory. I think the other guy just expressed it with the wrong wording, just that.

Yeah, can't say I loved the fight. It didn't actually feel like one. More like a slide show of Touma getting beaten. Sure that doesn't hurt for getting across that this guy is fast and overwhelming. But...actually seeing an attack connect more than a couple times would be nice.
But besides that the episode was good. For once it didn't feel like they were rushing like crazy. Itsuwa isn't much of a guard, but hey at least she's a good house guest. And a reminder for Touma that he doesn't have to accept Index being a lazy freeloader.
