Even with their ability to consume everything, I have to wonder how are they replenishing the numbers. Unless Orcs grow REALLY quickly. Since there can't be enough food for them in their path.

Sure, they've probably lost a few hundred here and there, but even taking out 10,000 of them isn't going to slow them down. They dont need to replace their ranks, they just need to keep going until there's nothing left. |

I mean, they should be suffering HORRIFIC losses from hunger because they would be marching basically on the meat of their comrades.
Unless their ability prevents them from dying from hunger.

The orcs probably devour anything organic in their path: Grass, leaves, frogs, bears, ogres, lizardmen. And we have no idea how many of their own they have eaten so far. But yeah, they are probably pretty hungry. One thing that's pretty clear is that killing some of the grunts is not making the army weaker - it is making them stronger, giving their hungry comrades a much appreciated meal. We saw that clearly enough. They really perked up after getting some orc meat.

The translations of the early chapters of this manga are a mess, but if what they said is true, it's not just any organic material that they can eat. It was said that they can eat Anything and Everything. But like I said, the translation of the early chapters are a disaster.

I'd dissagree that he is a terrible character. He is the typical prince that wants to rule NOW. History is kinda filled with those. So he is realistic in that way. This does not make him a good... no not good... smart, this doesn't make him a smart character.
Although to be honest, from his LIMITED PoV, he is doing a good thing. 10/10 lizard-men with him think what he is doing is BRILLIANT. 100% approval rating there

Well, he is proactive now. Problem is he is proactive when he shouldn't be. He is the typical young hothead leader. For every Alexander there are dozens of those that get stomped by superior forces because they ignore long term strategy in favor of the short term wins.

Benimaru is quite a cool character, as is Souei.
I think stories where there are cool male characters other than the MC in his group of comrades, are pretty entertaining, especially if he's part of the main cast and appears in many scenes in the story instead of just appearing in very few scenes like a very minor character. This is also why I liked Blend S, as there are 2 male characters in the main cast other than the other cute girls, and I liked the fact that Kaho might get coupled with Akizuki in it, while Dino's romantic interest is the main girl Maika. It would even make me happier if that second wingman male character/best friend is partnered romantically with a female character, just like in Magi's Grandson and like in most Shounen manga where MC's male best friend always gets his own girl or romantic interest, like for example, in Yuyu Hakusho where Kuwabara is coupled with Yukina in the end and in Darling In the Franxx where Goro finally wins Ichigo in the end. |

Did I miss the part where everyone knew about Veldora and Rimuru?
For the first few episodes they emphasized that the disappearance of Veldora is what's causing the current conflict inside the forest, the balance of power shifting thing, but they never showed Rimuru telling anyone about how he's the cause of the disappearance, and yet the dryad tells everyone about Rimuru having Veldora's protection and nobody reacts? Isn't that a little strange? If the 3 human adventurers ever heard about this it would've been big news.

There was a segment in the manga with the girls all dressing him up. It actually would have taken place in this most recent episode, but they seem to have either skipped or rearranged it. Hopefully it will be put in later.
