The manga series "Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue." is getting a TV anime. Coming in 2019.
Studio is Zero-G.

Plot Summary

Mystery writer Mikazuki Subaru, who isn't good at dealing with people, finds them to be a disturbance when it comes to building his imaginary world. One day, he chances upon a stray cat and feels inspiration strike, so he brings the cat home as his muse.

Episode 1

I have to admit, this was a better start than I had expected. Character interactions looked natural, animation looks decent, and it's pretty lighthearted. For a slice of life, I also got the impression of that too.

Oh and we got the cat of course!

Loved the realism of the show so far.

A solid start. Honestly, a more interesting first episode than I expected going in. The lead certainly has some flaws and quirks, but could be interesting to see him grow. And certainly the cat was a pretty entertaining character even during the parts where he wasn't talking.

One time when missing or not watching the previews made for an impactful start. I didn't expect to get into the cat's head at all

. Could be fun following along and seeing how this plays out.

Okay, I did not even know this manga will get a TV series, so imagine my surprise when I came across the first episode. I've read the manga and totally love it!

First episode was great! So looking forward to seeing the rest. Love the cat's expression...your typical cattitude that is just adorable!

The misunderstandings in the 2nd episode were hilarious! I'm not a cat person but Haru is absolutely adorable!!! Love how we see both POV, from the human and the cat.

You ever get that really annoying feeling when an ending song reminds you so much of a song you'd heard before but you just can't place it? Can anyone think of a song that sounds like this ending I need to figure it out.

ep3 was really touching. Really like this series. No major action but cute and calm SoL. Don't you just hate it when real life thoughts sneak in while you watch anime/fiction? For me it was when Haru said she'll always be with MC but then I think...cats only live to 20 years at most.

Darn real life thoughts.
