Yeah, he smashed the pencil when he saw the guy coming in with more admin issues to take care of.
And I forgot to give my mark for this ep. : 10! All because it's a Karura episode and she's by far my favorite character. She's really kind-hearted even though she wants to appear careless & somewhat daydreaming all the time. |

One can only sympathize with poor Benawi. Not only did the emperor dump all of the paper-, erm no, sorry, woodwork on him but now he's on an unofficial trip to some war-torn country...but not of his own volition.
Next thing we know he's going to commit sepuku (suicide by using a knife, one horizontal slash in the stomach followed by a vertical one - and you pull your [**R-rated contents**] out) in despair. Anyway, a 10 for elements that can make me froth at the corner of my lips in expectation. Hope yesy will once again pull out that speedsub thingy. Can't wait.

She was bargaining her soul and everything that her being contained for Hakuoro's help in straightening out that Nan-Tunku conflict and oust that puppet leader. In other words, she was compelling him to intervene and free her country.
Good deal, I think.

IIRC He said he'd do what he could but wouldnt commit to war, yet she still did the whole vow thing. It didnt seem to me like she was offering a quid pro quo, rather she just sortof gifted herself to him and threw herself at his mercy. ( then procedes to kidnap him the next day, proving all she really wanted was a piece of tail, imo. Binding and gagging the person you have committed your loyalty too is a bit much... ) |

Who was at mercy of who?
After all, I.M.O. Hakuoro already accepted her terms and would help the rebelion anyway. Was not necessary to Karura to make anything more for him... unless he order her so. And Hakuoro is too much of a gentleman to force her to do something nasty (Heh, force KARURA to do something she doesn't want to? Suuuure. ). Most probably, she herself was wanting to 'do' him. When she failed - thanks to Eruruu - she tried again kidnapping Hakuoro and taking him all to herself to Na-Tunk... but her plans were frustated again. The other girls discovered and went togheter. They're jealous and don't want to let Hakuoro and Karura all alone togheter, maybe? |
