Yup, you read that right! It was pretty crazy when I first read it too. That's what I luv bout this series. Its crazy, but it keeps you interested.

As I said when I gave Volume 30 spoilers, the FBI Psychic Investigators (Bates Sisters) are definitely related to Norman Bates. For one, one of the sisters is Norma Bates and second, that's just the kind of thing one can expect from this series at this point.

She turned on Public Division 0, copied Kinji's father's signature move and "killed him". She's also the reason the U.S. Government had his DNA to create Kinzou, Kaname, and Kanade which put all three under the control of organizations who used them poorly. She may look cute but she's a dangerous one. Though like Riko, she wasn't exactly in the best position, and she has started to try to make amends by trying to help reunite Kinji and his father after losing her high-rank in N.

But for now, this volume actually contains an offical character relationship chart and while I'd rather a more comprehensive one with everyone, I'll take what I can get for now. Its better than nothing!

While Fuuma has had a great role in recent volumes, the other Amicas are relegated to cameos or smaller-scale appearances. Though hopefully, with AA's recent conclusion, and the Aria novels still holding strong, we can see them get more prominent roles.

That's not even a flintlock, but rather an even more archaic matchlock (presumably a Tanegashima matchlock).

Sandy and Norma Bates, descended from Norman Bates do. They were sent by the FBI to use their psychic powers to stop Kinji, Fuuma and GIII out of the U.S. because the FBI are aware that Makiri told Kinji about his father's survival and want to keep Kinji from interfering with his father's mission to kill Nemo and stop N. So more or less, Fuuma is helping Kinji fight the FBI with help from the clasic GIII League who helped Kinji's brother during the FEW.

Hello my friends, it has been far too long since I've been able to talk here and I deeply regret that. I've had a lot of real life stuff going on. But, Volume 32 has been announced after 6 months without an Aria volume and that's really hype! But first, I thought I'd share some tidbits about Volume 31 for some context for anyone who is interested.

Spoiler for Volume 31:

-Kinji, GIII and Hina Fuuma are still in the US searching for Kinji's father Konza Tohyama who survived his fight with Makiri Ito, the one who revealed his survival to them. Konza has become a mercenary to keep his family safe in secret and has been hired to kill Nemo to stop the success of N's plan.

-The trio's advance is prevented by the Bates Sisters Sandy and Norma Bates, sent by the FBI to keep Kinji from interfering with his father's mission. Unable to defeat them, Kinji and his allies flee to Aya Hiraga's home in Washington, DC.

-Here, they meet up with ZII, a Genion like GIII, and born in the same lab in Los Alamitos as Kanade, who helped Kanade escape and unite with Kinji back in Volume 27. She is genetically based on the Genes of the Spartoi, ancient warriors of Thebes born from the teeth of Dragons in Greek Mythology (who of course, did truly exist in the Aria universe, because of course they did). Due to this, ZII has Caderia Spartan Syndrome, similar to Hysteria Mode which, like Kanade, led to her having the Reverse Irokane used to control her powers so she could fight powerful beings like the Yokai or Oni. Also there is a concerned Shirayuki, who tries to help treat Kinji's injuries, of course leading to some romance.

-Kinji and his allies learn the true nature of N's plans which tie to some of the lore of the author's other LN Yagate Maken no Alicebell, leading Kinji and the others to Niagara Falls where they are once again attacked by the Bates Sisters. Kinji, GIII and the group engage them in battle but Makiri Ito is hurt in the battle. Kinji being the hero that he is, steps in to protect his former enemy, using one of his father's techniques.

-This leaves an opening for Hina Fuuma to defeat the Bates Sisters with her Matchlock. Kinji, his allies and a Yandere Makiri find Nemo and then, Kinji comes face- to face with the "Silent Demon" himself, his "dead" father.Konza, ending the volume.

A pretty hype volume overall especially with that ending. So much cool stuff in one volume.

Now, onto Volume 32

Short and kinda predictable based on the past couple books but considering the fact that past volumes featuring fights between Kinji and members of his family have been some of the best, this is definitely gearing up to be a fun read. Can't wait and I'll be sure to keep you all up to date as more is revealed!

No matter what others said, Aria has solid fan based and from the beginning or near the beginning. The fans know whats to expect. Unlike what happen to index which ended up in a huge decline.

Expect NOTHING

Since volume 1 when Aria manage to trigger Kinji's HSS. I don't expect anything form this story Plus considering what the nature of HSS is and what happen when Kinji go hysteria. The moment that Aria manage to make Kinji go HSS. I go bonkers and gave up on the story

I'm fine with volume 2 and 3 with Shirayuki and Riko but man, volume 1 Aria. Aria is a loli. And Kinji is a 100% certified lolicon

I just enjoy the ride.
