I feel like we got trolled big time here.

After the epic finish last week it made no difference at all.

Madam butterfly is very interesting but cool to watch, I like her way of fighting.

To be fair if Rui didn't cut off his own head to prevent Tanjiro from doing it he would've had him.

I read the manga so I knew that "twist" was coming. I praise ufotable's animation but they can only do much with annoying source material. It actually feels like a waste to have them on this series sometimes. I always hate it when series have a chapter end with what looks like a glorious victory, then next chapter, no damage to the bad guy, ha-ha the author fooled us. Actually its gotten so repetitive most times I read a chapter that ends like that I don't expect the hero to win.

Anyway, any episode would be a step down after last week's, but still this one felt boring and dragged out but I think they're just following the manga. Yeah yeah, another demon sob story now that the powerful demon slayers are here. The backstory feels even more useless since most demon slayers aren't as nice as Tanjiro. They do look cool though. One of them even got to do the next episode preview.

Anyway, with Rui finally down, maybe now Tanjiro can reach Nezuko. Too bad for him the rest of the corps probably won't be as understanding as Urokodaki was.

Well this Anime follow source material seriously, there are some other anime that don't follow source material at all so read manga already doesn't mean we will know exactly what will happen in anime

That just means Tanjiro wasn't fast enough. He put up a great fight but it was a clear loss.

Episode 19's last lines had Tanjiro saying "Did I actually defeat a twelve kizuki?" if the episode itself raised the possibility that he didn't defeat Rui then it's almost certain that he didn't, so at that point I knew there was more to it.

I liked this chapter is good to know more about rui and how it was with the family, it was curious that the mother was a little girl.

a little detail, it seems that there are only 4 hashiras, is good to know because they look too OP, if there were a lot more it would be easy to beat the final boss right?

This show keeps wasting great seiyuus on characters that die right away. Prime example is Koyasu as the hand demon.
